reminders of why I don't visit often.

Totally understand that.

What's on my mind? Hard to say. Got a decision to make. Hate to go separate ways with someone i love and put them out of my life, but I'm seeing less reason to hang on by the day. It's sad to go separate ways with someone you love, but it's sadder still when you realize that they could care less.

I'm wondering if ill go to this church on Sunday. I go to another church but haven't been there for a while because I'm not feeling the messages....I've been praying and this one church, Harvest, keeps coming to mind. I hate going alone, but maybe I just gotta get over that and do it! That's what's on my mind...

I feel soooo blessed about some things God put into my hands today. I'm still amazed that God would do that for me. God always amazes me. I'm so grateful that I'm still in "awe" of God. He does it every time and I'm blown away every time!

Cannot believe that a bank holiday longer weekend is nearly over. It has been rained out but praise the Lord that I was able to catch up with my sleep and totally feel ready to get back into work tomorrow.

Sent from my cookoo, la la mind ;-)

4:30 in the morning and wide awake. I love and appreciate my job, but hoping to someday make it to day shift.

I have turned down opportunities to switch to the day shift. For me that would mean waking up at 4am, working until 8pm ... and falling in bed dead to the world by 9pm. Which means never seeing the sun on my work days. I don't know that that is more desirable even if I could wake up that early and feel good about myself. I also would make less money on the day shift. Not sure that being alert during the days on my off days and yet never able to stay awake past 9pm would be worth the change. Actually, I think "ideal" would be to find a eight hour 3rd shift job...sleep during the morning and early afternoon and being wide awake during the evening when other people are available....but most hospital jobs are 12 hour shifts...and I don't like the idea of trying to take care of patients that I might never see awake to know when they are "off" or "lethargic" versus just "sleepy". At least this way, I get to know them a bit before they attempt to sleep for the night....(hospitals are not good places to get any sleep).

Wow I'm feeling soooo talkative. One thing I have noticed is to stay out of that "perfection" thing. I don't know where that voice comes from. I like having a clean home but I'm not gonna be damned if it's not! Whew that felt good to say! Maybe I'll eat some bbq ribs and throw the bones on the floor...okay no BUT it feels good to know that I could if I wanted to lol...yeah baby!

I don't know where that voice comes from but it's like the gestapo. I have to sometimes say STOP IT and then I look around and have to admit some cleaning does need to be done but I'm not gonna do it under duress especially since it's just me! I mean isn't it suppose to be a perk of singleness to be messy when you want? Well I want ALL my perks!

lol ... I never had that perfectionist thing going on. But friends that I've seen with it make me wonder how they enjoy life at all!
I suppose I have a different drive so maybe things balance out in a way that I don't recognize.

The gestapo! Perfect!!! Sometimes I feel like I have been burdened with one of their commanding officers in residence. :rage: I'm not sure if that stems from actually feeling a need to be super neat (because I'm not) or liking it neat(ish) but feeling discouraged by pressure from individuals who complain (humble boast?) about their housework accomplishments. Anyway, I feel it's time to quick march my unwanted "guest" out. :)

Glad to hear you're not equipped with that gene! Yes, we need to work and accomplish necessary tasks but life is meant to be enjoyed. Sounds like you have a good balance. :)

I can't say for sure but I think it's something that shows up more with women think "Martha". I think women are socialized into believing that a clean house is a reflection on us and our ability to be a good wife/mother. Like it's our duty. Where as men are free to live however they want. I don't think a man having a messy home is questioned. They just tell him he needs a wife! It's amazing how much of that stuff is pushed, maintained, and supported by "Christians". I think that's why it was soooo amazing and freeing what Jesus said to Martha. He wasn't there to judge her but set her free. She just had to make a different choice and we know she did!

It is interesting. I think Christians sometimes fall into the truism of "Cleanliness is next to godliness." Hmmmm.
