  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well, that was interesting. My first time voice chat with a woman I met in VR. This was after swapping stories and links to each other's online work etc. My profile says I'm not looking for a relationship on that platform, she has a RL boyfriend, and she's a little under my dating age range anyway, so it's not like anything will come of this, but it's nice to have a friendship on there that's more than text-based. And who knows? Maybe I'll meet somebody else through this connection, or a similar scenario will present itself somewhere down the line. It's like a new world of possibilities has opened for me.

That being said, it's amazing how the right kind of person can come along and I show them things, namely creative stuff, that not even my family or RL friends get to see. It takes a certain set of factors for me to feel comfortable enough with someone to do that. At least outside of the silent, voiceless, anonymity of pseudonyms. It's not that I really have anything to hide, but I can be bashful about certain things. For reasons that would take several pages to explain. Suffice it to say, when I meet someone who is on a similar wavelength or into such things herself, I open right up... lol. I was beginning to doubt that I still had it in me. In a way, however, it puts me right back where I was 10 years ago. Do I really want to go there? In some ways, absolutely, but I want to take what I've learned in the meantime and do it better this time around.

But I digress...

Happy Easter!

That's beautiful. May you find a connection with a special someone who shares these creative pursuits and with whom you can share said pursuits in actual reality.

If I met someone who liked photographing abandoned buildings and road signs and didn't think it a sign of my insanity, I'd be utterly thrilled.

If only the words that make sense in my head were real.
For example, "I'm so extragabstardly frustrated."
Or, "This is excaberitatingly exceedictious."
Why do they all start with the letter E...

"Tedious drudgery" is one of my favorites, but those are real words.

My AutoCAD teacher used to say it all the time. "Tedious drudgery..." It was fitting.

I CANNOT express my gratitude enough for safety gear.

Today while longboarding down hill, I began to pick up a lot of speed and began to get speed wobbles, there was this big drop in the hill coming up - I knew right at that point, my options were to either try and continue and risk falling when I hit the drop, or jump.... I jumped, tried to run down the road.. the momentum was just too great.. I fell hard on my side and rolled to the side of the road.

If I hadn't been wearing my wrist guards, elbow and knee pads, I would have been A LOT worse off, with most likely a broken arm and/or wrist. My wrist guards and elbow pads were pretty munted from the fall. Thank God I was wearing them though. I walked away with road rash up my right back though and my leg/hip is VERY sore when walking. But it could have ended much worse.

I don't think I'll be riding my longboard for a while... lol
