  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When I was in college me and my friends discussed building a hovercraft as a continuation of the science club we had made the year before. But we were too busy with our classes.

Oh that would be so awesome to build one!

That is so awesome! ^_^ I wonder what it's like to ride one.

Yeah, I saw him whipping around on the ice underneath the bridge when the river was completely frozen over. It looked cold but fun. I wonder what its like now with most of the river being open water, and riding back and forth over ice/water.

Didn't know it was my neighbor until I saw him pulling it to his garage on a trailer one day. I almost forgot about it until I saw him out with it again today. If its the guy I think it is I've got to ask him about it.

I'm thinking about the play I was in and hoping people were touched by God!

That's cool. Was it based on Good Friday? At one of the churches I used to go to, they had some really nice Good Friday services.

There's this really gorgeous redhead who has been new to our church and my buddy Steve and I both think she's sweet and attractive. We keep saying we will be the first to win her over, but we keep daring each other to be the first to even ask her name! But we chicken out! It's funny.

WELL you should totally introduce yourself, like during one of those times where people go around and shake hands ^_^ Perfect chance.

I was one of the mourning crowd in the crucifixion scene,an extra.

Wow. It must have been interesting putting yourself in that frame of mind as a mourner of Christ, literally near the cross as it was happening.

haha I might. but I'm totally not looking right now. Trying to get myself good to go first, but it wouldn't hurt to meet a friend...:D

I totally understand that.

If a nice, new guy came to my church, I'd probably be too nervous too :D I'm one of those people who kind of stands around at church and just shakes the hands of people who walk by. I pretty much never take the initiative to walk around and try to meet new people. Too shy!

That sounds pretty cool. I like church plays.

The church I go to did one called "The Twelve Voices of Easter" tonight. It was pretty good. It was like a testimonial from twelve different people who were involved in the trial, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. It put a human face on some of the people who were involved, and related some of the things that they faced to things that people face everyday.

That's the first Good Friday service I've been to in a while.

me too! I'm an odd cookie because for years I always thought I was an introvert. I enjoy quiet time for myself (I'm a writer, so I need that time to put the headphones on and just get lost in my writing) and I'm not usually very open around new people. Then people who know me online are like, "you're totally an extravert!" and I would debate with them, but ever single test I take, I come out as an extravert. But I can be very open and talkative when I get to know someone well. I joke here that I'm the life of the party, but in a gathering, I'm usually witty and get everyone laughing.

So now I think I'm a mix between the two with a touch of shyness. ESPECIALLY talking to girls.

Awesome!

For years and years my home church put on an annual Easter program/play. It was actually pretty darn good. A couple years before we stopped doing it (or at least not on the grand scale we were used to) I was able to be in it playing something other than an extra, lol. I played the adulterous woman that the Pharisees are about to stone... :sorry::D:p:o

Sometimes I wonder if deep down I'm an extrovert. When I was a kid, around the right kinds of people I was much more outspoken than I am now. I could make my friends laugh easily. Now I keep to myself more. I've been trying to be more open with people but I find it harder than it was when I was younger.
