I never claimed to have a unique perspective. The guy who coined the term sadomasochism in the late 1880's pretty quickly tied the idea of religion and angered the catholic church. The idea is quite old, but is beginning to gain more and more traction.

I'm aware of how popular religion is, but you have to understand how rapidly religion is dropping in our generation. I'd say this has a large part to do with the internet and a rapid increase in the share of information, this is only going to spread even further down the line.

But like I said, I don't particular hope to see religion die, its just my honest estimate.

Haha Religion has endured since the beginning of time...men with ideas have always passed. Hedomism is something people rarely even give more thouht than they have always done. I'm really not concerned about a wide spread scope of information, welcome it actually the whole world will see the rise of a spiritual awakening and it will be documented and shared for all to scrutinize and lack any proof of their doubt.

Yeah, but the future isn't going to be like the past at all. The world has been and will be undergoing incredible changes.

Not sure what hedonism has to do with anything, I guess since I'm an atheist you assume I'm promoting it lol. I think humanity will become bored with any sort of hedonism and find new ways to guilt and limit itself.

Hopefully we'll both live to see the end of the century, and finally see who was right. Though I'd put my money on us totally annihilating each other lol.

tbh i see the earth going toward a common religion, that people will be forced to join, although maybe not believe themselves, and then persecute those who are different. So a worldly religion Human thought is too complex to say there wont ever be a religion, there was religion based off of mathematics in the past!

I didn't take it in a mean way. I care because the world needs it, everything else harbours selfishness and hatred in its bowels; the results are always the same... humans thinking they are powerful, arrogant to think they matter.

I think humans act roughly the same whether there is religion around or not.

We as a whole are a cruel and loving fickle people, nothing can really sway this.
