I've never had any issues with pervs thankfully....If anyone did look...I didn't notice...nor did I care.

Here's a shocker though....even if I did find a mother's room somewhere...mother's rooms are no longer mother's rooms...they are parent rooms. So even if you did feel uncomfortable feeding in front of men....well you'll just have to get over it and change your views I guess.

I tell ya, it is always something....I still say feed the baby, and the good thing is you don't care......that goes a long way with some things in life, lol!...

God made men to be attracted to the female body. Our bodies are different than theirs. So, to me, breasts serve more than one purpose (and remember, God usually has more than one purpose in many things He does).

I think many of the men who have posted here agree that breasts are sexual. I agree, and without going into detail, there is a relation (google it - do the research). When discussing this subject, think about how men view breasts (such as their wife's). It's not a perverted thing in men; it is something God made to be enjoyed by husband, child, and even the woman herself (like I said - research it).

Yes but, as I said, you then get women in african tribes who's breasts are not sexualised at all. They're purpose is for one thing and one thing only, I think it's only our society that has perverted that. So although I can see where you're coming from...I really can't get past those tribel women letting it all hang out and men not even blinking an eye about it.

Yep, that is so true, but as I have already said on other ocassions, that if the Book doesn't cover it, then commonsense will suffice.

Ive just started breastfeeding in public, and so far havent had any problems! I always try to sit with my back to the room to be as private as possible. Most men I find are embarrassed by it and look away, my FIL leaves the room usually. My MIL says, tongue in cheek, that the problem for most men is that they cannot accept that the breasts are not for them!

I dont like those shawl things it really is a giveaway what your doing, like a public statement "Im feeding".

One last point, why do the majority of places available for feeding have the most uncomfortable chairs? The best place I have found is in Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre in Sheffield which has a proper nursing chair.

My opinion is that women should be free to breastfeed in public. I think the vast majority of nursing mothers want to be discrete and as private as possible and it's not a problem. I think people should get over their own hangups about it.


I also think, though, that it's not "perverted" for breasts to be sexualized. They do serve a dual function - they satisfy husbands and babies. There's nothing wrong with that.

Can any of the women here honestly say that when you see a man with his shirt off that you don't notice if he has a nice body or not? And if he does, do you stare?

I have 2 teenage sons. I asked my 18 yr old if he's uncomfortable to see women breastfeeding in public. He said (his words) "as long as they don't get all Mardi Gras about it. If they just 'take it out' and put the baby up to it it's ok. But not if they just sit there with it 'hanging out'."
So if a woman is discreet it doesn't bother him.
Then I asked him about if what she was using to cover herself fell off and he got to see the 'whole thing'. I said 'you would want to look wouldn't you'. He wouldn't answer that, lol.

The fact is, we haven't been raised to show it all. As much as you want and have the right to feed your baby in public, which I am all for, you have to realize that other's will be uncomfortable or even look if you're exposed (think teenage boys and not just perverts).
Right or wrong, it is what it is. We can't change things overnight.

No we can't change things overnight but, if we continue to hide in shame then nothing will change at all. People need to know that breastfeeding is normal and natural...and quite frankly it has nothing to do with them. So they should mind their own business.

I don't know if that's what God's purpose was for breasts...think about it...was it man that made them sexual or God? If it was God then why only western society thinks their sexual and not natives?

Ok...let me explain it better

The difference between men and women's chest is...that women have mammory glands and men don't. And the mammory gland's sole purpose is to produce and give milk...no other reason. That's the mammory gland's job, that is why they are there.

Now...some women have small mammory glands and some men have 'man boobs' so the attraction can't just be because women and men don't...because some men actually DO and some women have very small mammory glands that look like there's hardly anything there at all...and yet....those women can still produce milk.
