Do a search for the word "breasts" in the Bible. :)

Here's one example:

May your fountain be blessed,
and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
A loving doe, a graceful deer—
may her breasts satisfy you always,
may you ever be captivated by her love.

Proverbs 5:18-19

My opinion is that women should be free to breastfeed in public. I think the vast majority of nursing mothers want to be discrete and as private as possible and it's not a problem. I think people should get over their own hangups about it.

I also think, though, that it's not "perverted" for breasts to be sexualized. They do serve a dual function - they satisfy husbands and babies. There's nothing wrong with that.

I totally see where you are coming from.

No, nothing is wrong with that, that is for sure...:)My problem is the over sexualization of breasts......I think it is perverted in a sense.

But, what can we do about that..Such is life....:sorry:

In light of the thread about the physical touch problem that guy had the other day....and how some got offended etc I can't help but wonder how many Christians are offended by a simple and natural act of breastfeeding a baby in public.

So what do you all think? Do you think it's acceptable that when a baby is hungry that the mother can feed them some lunch wherever they are, via the breast, or do you believe that the mother needs to hide away in shame?

If the baby is hungry, the baby needs to be fed. I don't care where you do it, it is natural and most mothers nurse discreetly. If someone has a problem with it, they have the problem and they can deal with it. I have breastfed five babies anywhere and everywhere and no-one was silly enough to try and challenge me on it. If I ever heard a nursing mother being given a hard time I would defend her. Why should my baby not be fed as God intended because someone else has a hang up?

And btw - my babies refused to nurse with a blanket over their heads.

babies have to eat!
but i feel that the mom should cover herself, she does not have to hide but she should be covered.

Actually some anti-psychoyic drugs can make men lactate.

Wow really? Where from?

Did you know that one of Gods names - El Shaddai means "many breasted one" ie giver of life and nurturer.

Notice that it's "giver of life/nurturer"? Nothing about romance, sex and attraction? That's got to say something.

Not saying being sexually attracted to breasts is wrong....it's just wrong to think of a mother breastfeeding as sexual.
