Just to explain...
I have a book...excellent book that I do read to my kids about sex and sexuality...and I believe that its great to be taught in schools (so yes Im one of the parents that do sign the forms).
However if a younger person over the internet pms me in private asking or something to that effect I will refer them to a councellor or to a Minister...one that is affirming...and will talk to them.
First thing I really dont think a 14 yr old is ready to have sex...yes I did, yes I thought I was ready, but I wasnt and I personally think its way too young to even think about ones sexuality in that way...
Instead one should be getting to know themselves(not others)...maybe the person isnt really homosexual after all...(maybe another young person is really homosexual instead of heterosexual) as ones teenage yrs are full of hormones (something we go through our whole lives).
I guess what Im trying to say is the young person should enjoy their youth and not be jumping into sex...
Yes....find out who one is emotionally, physically, mentally etc...and get some guidance from parents, and non judgemental persons who are capable of councelling. Also I just believe its much safer than the internet...but again that is my opinion as a mom
My apologies if non of this made any sence![]()
my feeling is that I will help, protect, guide...whatever, any kid who comes to me for help, but I won't go so far as say or imply "your parents are wrong" or tell them to do or believe something that goes against their parents' wishes or beliefs. That said, if the kid is struggling down a line of logic or belief on his own, and I'm familiar with what he's struggling with, I might try to clarify the next point he's coming to.
