Let's see... couple lives "in sin", realizes they're doing wrong, desire to return to the Church, and part of making that right is getting married, of course. So... they return to the Church and as part of that get married. Alleluia, the prodigals have returned. What part of this narrative are we supposed to object to? If it's the parts before the "return to the Church and as part of that get married", they know it was wrong, that's why they're back in Church and now married. If it's the get married part, what, should they continue to live "in sin"? I'm not sure what people want here. Was it the return to Church part?
I think it's the legalism in Rome. I saw a similar article on yahoo, that many Catholics are pretty irked at this, but it would not be an issue if the West were not so legalistic. in fact, I am pretty sure for us, it would not be an issue at all. so I don't think it is the return or anything that has this as somewhat controversial.
The Catholics are learning economia...now if we can just get them to drop that pesky filioque junk and the papal claims, we're halfway there!
Either you accept some sin(economia)as better than letting them go about. Jesus said every time a remarried person has sex is a sin. This is the same as gay sex. So you accept remarried and gay marriage or you should not accept remarriage.
