  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The reason that evolution can explain things away is because.... wait for it ...

Because it is correct. If evolution were false you could come up with some things that it had no explanation for. Just as Fludists cannot explain the fossil record. They can try to twist bits and pieces to follow their myth, but sooner or later reality shows them to be wrong in their claims.

Yes, I can.

Flagellum, cilium, blood clotting, and the many other complex biological machinery inside living organisms.

And you have yet to find an "out of place" fossil. That is a gross untruth to even imply right now. An out of place fossil could take the whole theory down.

Well then. Evolution theory......BUSTED!. (To mimic your debating tactics).

How do any of these falsify the theory of evolution?

Also, what features must a geologic feature have in order to falsify a recent global flood? You still have not named a single feature.

Also, I'm confused - when did we start talking about creationism? I ask because I could have sworn you - or at least many ID proponents - insisted creationism wasn't intelligent design, and yet...

Well lasthero, creationism came in when we started to talk about fossils and the earth and the flood.

ID theory looks inside organisms to detect if there are design features. I don't think it has anything to do with the flood or fossils although they do mention things like that on other sections of evolutionnews.org.

And all of those claims have been refuted.

The blood clotting claim was a huge fiasco for Behe in the Dover trial.

You can deny it all you want and we can put the actual science that says you are wrong again and again.

No scientist takes the claim of Behe seriously today. He is a clown that has a job only because he was tenured before he went crazy.

How many times do you need to be shown this?

And you know this how? did your pastor tell you? he knows about as much as you do which is nothing,
if you want to know about carpentry ask a carpenter not an electrician.

Who told you they could? Your scientist (pastor) or did you just take SZ's word for it from the simple video he posted?

And you are being less than truthful again.

Yes, I linked a simple video. Why do you keep forgetting the much more in depth paper that I linked too? It is pointless to copy and paste a paper that is several pages long and has many links to the articles that is was based upon. It would take you a good week of reading and studying to get just the paper and its immediate links down pat.

Of course if you could do that you would understand the process and, if you were honest, quit bothering us with nonsense.

So one more time, I posted a simplified video. You could find no flaws in it. I posted the link to the paper the video was based upon. You did not read it. The writer of that paper had links to his sources.

All of your claims of ID have been debunked in the world of science.

I'd really like an answer, Eddy - why aren't seagoing reptiles found in the same strata as seagoing mammals? Why do they completely vanish long before whales on the fossil record?

But they are Lassy. Some dinosaur fossils and bones are found just lying around on the surface. Above other strata.

I did look it over but I'll read it in depth when I get home from work and before I settle in to play a couple hours of Dead Space 3. Happy?

No. Where did you get that idea from?

E.D. please quit making statements that are just wrong without any support.

You stil have not told us how a recent global flood is falsifiable.

At this point, it is obvious that no matter what the evidence is you will claim that it was produced by a recent global flood, no matter how preposterous. This is because you start with the conclusion and ignore the evidence.

A- Pleisiosaurs aren't dinosaurs.

B- when? Please remember what I said about the earth shifting and diagrams, before you answer.
