LOL! It will be imitation but indistinguishable from real meat. There's no death in Heaven. LOL

I expect we will be as Jesus was when He was resurrected: Able to eat but not requiring food.

I don't think we'll worry about haute cuisine, however. I expect we will fully enjoy the most natural and minimally prepared foods.

I'll probably eat all of the Oreo Cookies and cakes and desserts that I want up there! The stuff I have to eat sparingly here. LOL Oreos for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

I do not expect that we will be just sitting in heaven lollygagging. I think we will be returned to Adam's status of being stewards of creation...including all the stars and galaxies of the universe. I think we'll be busy with good work.

We may all get our own planet to run and tend to full of cute little sweet furry creatures. Like a garden and pets but a whole planet!

By "Heaven" are you referring to the interim state "in heaven" as we await the resurrection of the body? Or are you referring to the final state, when the dead are raised and God renews all creation?

Because in the former, I don't think the question makes any sense.

As far as the Life in the Age to Come goes, I think phrases like "We see in a glass dimly" and "no eye has seen and no ear has heard" are appropriate.

If heaven is filled with endless joy then is it unreasonable to want endless delicious foods?

The joys of eternity are also in that we ourselves shall be fully new; our desires themselves are redeemed; and thus what is fulfilling and joyful will be in alignment with God.

Christ teaches us to store up treasures in heaven, by changing the very way we comprehend "treasure". I am convinced that in the Age to Come I will serve you, and it will never be a chore, it will always be a joy to do so. Because who and what I am are rendered perfect in Christ. So we learn now that the least is greatest, and that the greatest in kingdom of God are servants and slaves; so that if I am called a servant in the glory which is to come it shall be my crown and treasure to be a servant to all.

No one mentioned Real Presence as yet? Weird.

We'll be eating Christ in any material form that He wants us to consume Him in. Living Bread, Living Water, Living Fruit, etc. Even Living Meat if that's what he chooses. Actually the kind of food probably isn't crucial because it is Living Food - meaning it can stimulate our taste buds in any way that He desires. So for example Living Water could taste like roast beef, if that's what He wants.

Anyone up for a roast beef shake?
