Hi my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ

They're kinda, well....

I come from a VERY Catholic upbringing and the Jesuits creep me out. Here is an exerpt from their oath:

furthermore promise and declare that I will, when opportunity present, make and wage relentless war, secretly or openly, against all heretics, Protestants and Liberals, as I am directed to do, to extirpate and exterminate them from the face of the whole earth; and that I will spare neither age, sex or condition; and that I will hang, waste, boil, flay, strangle and bury alive these infamous heretics, rip up the stomachs and wombs of their women and crush their infants' heads against the walls, in order to annihilate forever their execrable race. That when the same cannot be done openly, I will secretly use the poisoned cup, the strangulating cord, the steel of the poniard or the leaden bullet, regardless of the honor, rank, dignity, or authority of the person or persons, whatever may be their condition in life, either public or private, as I at any time may be directed so to do by any agent of the Pope or Superior of the Brotherhood of the Holy Faith, of the Society of Jesus

In fact the problem with Jesuits is that their order was designed to be independent thinkers, they had to convert the natives in the New World and the Protestant in Europe, acting alone for years if necessary and sometimes that creates discipline problems.
The Spanish Jesuits are a bunch of Arrian and Nestorian socialists. No wonder why the Opus Dei are taking the place as the Marines of the Church.
But the Jesuits had a serious vocations problem, keep the liberalism and the order will go the way of liberal protestant denominations.

One wonders in today's age how the SSPX are considered schismatic and the Jesuits are not. Considering the volume of apostacy to come from their apostolate and the souls they have led astray from the Barque of Peter one can not hesitate to say that this once golden society with the great St. Ignatius of Loyola has done more to harm Catholics in their care in recent history than any SSPX member ever could.

Certainly for those not familiar, the Jesuits closing shop is not new. In history they had been disassociated from the Holy See (unjustly at that time) only to return at the request of the contemporary pope. They had been barred in many nations over the centuries (not for heterodoxy but the opposite) and one wonders if the Church needs to distance Herself from them today.

Any thoughts?

I must admit that I don't know a lot about this, although I've heard things. I do know that many Jesuits stray dangerously close to heresy. Often they are definitely dissenters. But, Holy Mother Church is slow to act in such cases and rightfully so. We seek repentence and conversion of heart rather than excommunication, which is always a last resort. I'm sure this pope will do the right thing.

I have no problems with legitimate criticis to Catholicsm or to the Jesuits (I'm very critical of the Jesuits and I went to a Jesuit highschool) but when people like Jack Chick and Antonio Rivera uses outright slanders and fabrications as brittish protestant (who created those fabrications) had done for centuries I have to feel a bit angry.
Because is bearing false wittness. And for done in the name of Jesus is near blasphemy.
