Rode bike for a good 60-70 minutes.

The snow's melting & sidewalks are clear. Was nice getting fresh air.

Went thru my neighborhood, around downtown, & back.
Sounds great. Unfortunately, still a lot of snow here. So we are doing the treadmill. On the lookout for an exercise bike too.

I always manage a few sets of pull ups - along with other calisthenic exercises. I used to be all about the weights and would even compete occasionally at powerlifting competitions in London, until I found another dimension.

All things considered, I think calisthenic training is just superior to anything else I've done.

I went to the mall today and walked around for a couple hrs.
Did you buy a bunch of bowling balls?
I lifted my remote control a dozen times today and walked to the kitchen and lifted a pizza a few times.

Does sliding down the driveway that’s as long as a football field count?? I’m not kidding!
I imagine so. Not many places in Australia get snow, and not for very long if they do.

Pull-ups / chin-ups are my favorite!! Good choice.

I like calisthenics too, but they only get you so far.

Al Kavadlo would disagree with you unreservedly. He's the one who converted me.

The reality is, the possibles are endless. A pull up is just a pull up, until you modify it to become a pull up - over the bar, to push up/dip, into handstand press out.

For reps.

You need a LOT of strength to do some of those variations of it. I've seen YouTube videos of people doing all the variations, & it's like wowzers.

The strength can be built - and if you were to build strength that way as opposed to weights, you'll be better for it from a functional strength perspective.

I found that when I made the switch I didn't need to worry about isolating muscle groups either because the entire body would take an equal pounding and everything came together as one. So no need for bicep curls - thank goodness.

The transition can be slow though. But if you've been training with weights for many years, you'll only see a benefit from it. The body will only grow and get stronger when there's a necessity, if routines become predictable, it just gets lazy on you.
