What was the first movie you ever watched in a theater?

Not sure.. rarely went to the theaters as a kid.

Might have been the film Tarzan or Doug's First Movie. Both coming out in 1999. Although I vaguely remember some school field trip to a theater that might have been earlier. We went to some 3-D film which was awful.. the picture looked so fuzzy.. like a horrible dream.. lol.

Ohhhh. I remember Doug. Are you talking about the show that aired on Nickalodean? Hmm. I thought you might have been a child of a religious family that considered theaters evil. No?

No.. although many films were unacceptable to watch in my household.. thought Doug was a little risky because it had a monster in it.. although.. nothing happened and we finished the film.. lol.

By the time the film came out.. it was now a Disney property.

2001: A Space Odyssey

The opening sequence really stuck in my mind as a kid.

You're even older than I am, lol. I just watched that for the first time last year and while I found it a bit too psychodelic for my taste, the special effects we're amazing for it's time.

My first movie was The Gauntlet starring Clint Eastwood. Second was Star Wars. IIRC. It was 40 years ago.... LOL.

The ending is certainly a bit psychedelic ;)
All of those fancy special effects ahhahaaha!

Star Wars was certainly awesome at the theatre!
