Where in the world did you find a 5 dollar word like that?
Had to look it up, I must be the biggest wonk.
Not a word, ''Wonk,'' is it?

The Word for Word content of Exodus 20:1-17 is not recorded in Exodus 24, since there is no indisputable proof of the need for a modification appearing on the second set of tablets.Yet there is a modification, can you find it?
Does anyone know the difference between the Exodus rendition and the Deuteronomy version? The Word for Word content of Exodus 20:1-17 is not recorded in Exodus 24, since there is no indisputable proof of the need for a modification appearing on the second set of tablets.
Are you referring to a further particular instructive observance, law (commandment) mentioned in Exodus 20-23 relative to one of the Ten Commandments, that you may believe received some modification in Exodus 24 or elsewhere. Shouldnt any additional instruction which you refer to as a modification be viewed as a declarative exhortation instead of a modification. When one considers the Ten Commandments as well as these additional instructive observances and laws (commandments) we begin to realize how wicked and depraved had become the nature of mankind under Adamic sin.
Matthew 5:17-19 ~ Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (NKJV)
Matthew 5:11-16 ~ Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (NKJV)
These words were not directed at the ears of the Pharisees and scribes, but to interested followers gathered to hear Yeshua's teaching, like the beatitudes (Matt. 5:3-10)
IF you answer correctly, then you get to ask the next quiz question.Yes, what are you looking for?
Compared both "renditions" using the NKJ translation and can't find any scripture "modification" that is cause for significant differentiation of interpretation. Perhaps my understanding of any significant "modification" is in need of modification.Does anyone know the difference between the Exodus rendition and the Deuteronomy version?
another clue....Compared both "renditions" using the NKJ translation and can't find any scripture "modification" that is cause for significant differentiation of interpretation. Perhaps my understanding of any significant "modification" is in need of modification.
What am i missing and what translation are you using?
Unable to discern any refining alteration of any one of the Ten Commandments when comparing scriptures in these two books (using NKJV) that might possibly be interpreted as being a significant modification.another clue....
creator
redeemer
I gave a hint, not that hard to figure out.... rememberUnable to discern any refining alteration of any one of the Ten Commandments when comparing scriptures in these two books (using NKJV) that might possibly be interpreted as being a significant modification.
The words "creator" and "redeemer" don't appear in the NKJV translation of either of these two books (Exodus 20:3-17 or Deuteronomy 5:7-21) when comparing the Ten Commandments.

Nope... but you are looking in the right place....Oh, are we finally back to the game? The difference is in the 4th commandment---------> Shabbat
Exodus 20
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Remember- shakar - שָׁמַר
Celebrate, make mention, remember
Deut 5
Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the LORD thy God commanded thee.
Observe= Shamar- שָׁמַר
safeguard- defend, guard, keep

RedeemerExodus 20:
New King James Version (NKJV)
11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Deuteronomy 5:
New King James Version (NKJV)
15 And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
Nope... but you are looking in the right place....
OK... I am going to give you the answer...
Creator
Redeemer
OK.. try this one... Who can walk in the midst of fire? And let's make it a little bit harder... Daniel's friends can not be the answer.
Does anyone know the difference between the Exodus rendition and the Deuteronomy version?

I would have accepted your answer as legit before I gave any hints, but since I gave the creator/redeemer hint, it disqualified your answer...Vis, that is a legit difference I gave.
You asked:
It's right there in the Hebrew, I see what you are talking about with the redeemer and Creator part, but my answer is just as valid.![]()
My turn.. what is the difference between the first set of tablet stones and the second, and in which commandment?
Yet there is a modification, can you find it?
OK... I am going to give you the answer…
Was only Exodus 20:8-11 written on the “first set of tablet stones” while the additional text of Deuteronomy 5:15 was also included on “the second” or was the additional text Deuteronomy 5:15 included on the “first set of tablet stones” and only Exodus 20:8-11 written on “the second.”Creator
Exodus 20:
New King James Version (NKJV)
11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Redeemer
Deuteronomy 5:
New King James Version (NKJV)
15 And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
Since Moses went back up to atone [mediate a reconcilation]for Israel, I would think that the second set would be the ones to mention the redeeming qualities of the God they worship. But it could also be argued that since they were rescued from Egypt, God declared in the first set that He is their redeemer. It would make more sense that the order is Creator first, Redeemer second. Was only Exodus 20:8-11 written on the first set of tablet stones while the additional text of Deuteronomy 5:15 was also included on the second or was the additional text Deuteronomy 5:15 included on the first set of tablet stones and only Exodus 20:8-11 written on the second.
Maybe the stone tables used to record Exodus 20:3-17 were smaller so there wasn't enough room to include the extra text found in Deuteronomy 5:15.![]()
