CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wonky is a good English English word - it means unstable, crooked, not level. As in, for example, a table that is unstable.

The Word for Word content of Exodus 20:1-17 is not recorded in Exodus 24, since there is no indisputable proof of the need for a modification appearing on the second set of tablets.
Are you referring to a further particular instructive observance, law (commandment) mentioned in Exodus 20-23 relative to one of the Ten Commandments, that you may believe received some modification in Exodus 24 or elsewhere. Shouldnt any additional instruction which you refer to as a modification be viewed as a declarative exhortation instead of a modification. When one considers the Ten Commandments as well as these additional instructive observances and laws (commandments) we begin to realize how wicked and depraved had become the nature of mankind under Adamic sin.
Matthew 5:17-19 ~ Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. These words were not directed at the ears of the Pharisees and scribes, but to interested followers gathered to hear Yeshua's teaching, like the beatitudes (Matt. 5:3-10)

Compared both "renditions" using the NKJ translation and can't find any scripture "modification" that is cause for significant differentiation of interpretation. Perhaps my understanding of any significant "modification" is in need of modification.
What am i missing and what translation are you using?

Unable to discern any refining alteration of any one of the Ten Commandments when comparing scriptures in these two books (using NKJV) that might possibly be interpreted as being a significant modification.
The words "creator" and "redeemer" don't appear in the NKJV translation of either of these two books (Exodus 20:3-17 or Deuteronomy 5:7-21) when comparing the Ten Commandments.

Maybe the stone tables used to record Exodus 20:3-17 were smaller so there wasn't enough room to include the extra text found in Deuteronomy 5:15.

Since Moses went back up to atone [mediate a reconcilation]for Israel, I would think that the second set would be the ones to mention the redeeming qualities of the God they worship. But it could also be argued that since they were rescued from Egypt, God declared in the first set that He is their redeemer.
