what to do ?

I am 53 years old, broke,married and living with my parents.Twelve years ago I became an alcholic and lost everything I had, and got in trouble with the law with two dwi's ten years apart. I remarried 8 years ago and I pay rent 100.00 dollars a month for an attached three room appartment to my parents home, with taking care of remodeling their home and all their needs plus my wives. My wife and I have been living here for four years and I still have 11 months of probation left on a dwi with no drivers license.
In the last two years GOD has taken alcohol out of my life. Now the problem is i'm broke my wifes job is not enough for us to get started on our own. We have 80 acres of land a storage building full of tools and furniture and no shop to work out of or no home to live in and no credit because of hospital and doctors bills I could not pay. God has blessed me with mechanical knowledge to do anything and I am licensed by the state in air conditioning and plumbing.
Since the trouble with the law even though a misdimeaner is not as bad as a felony, employers are not interested in hiring me due to driving, age probably doesn't help and the economy. My wife and I want to get start to live again but just don't know how.

It will probably take much time, so be patient, and you will need to be sure you have the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart as your Savior ---and lord of your life. Look up always and trust God!

If you can start getting small jobs in your wife's spare time from work and build up your reputation and credit slowly you might end up having your own business Also you could get a different job you will need connections...Do you attend a church? When a door shuts... a window opens... Follow Christ and he will lead you. Do not give up you are still young. We are never too old or too weak for we are strong in Him.

Then you should be contacting all the air conditioning and plumbing people. Let them know if they get busy with some extra work that your available. Maybe you could buddy up with someone that has a car and run some craigslist advertising and pick up some odd jobs. A little bit here and there is better than sitting at home and doing nothing. If you got land then you could be working a garden and growing some food. Even people grow plants for landscaping and sell them out at the flea markets. You could build a very cheap green house out of a double layer of plastic and get a very early start on the season. ( each layer of plastic cuts the sun by 10% ) One year I had tomatoes three weeks before anyone else. All I did was cover them up at night and they grew really good. You can sell your produce out at the farmers market. People in China will get up and go to work for as little as $10 a week. But here in American they will not get up and go out for $10 an hour. There is always someone that will hire you at the right price. Check the AA meetings. I bet you could find someone there with a car looking for work. If you do not have a computer then go to the library and use the computer there to list your jobs and to let people know your available. We use to have a small town newspaper I advertised in and it only cost me something like $6. I got all the work I needed from that ad. It is so easy to get out and make money. You just got to get out and to it and get over the fact that your not going to make $100 an hour. Better to get out and function and be a contributor, then to be a drain on people.

Maybe look for someone else on Craigslist that has a car and is looking for work and team up with them if you have tools and job skills. The main point is sowing and reaping. Get out and sow some good seed. Then in due season you will reap a good reward. Right now your reaping from sowing rotten seeds.
