I mean, it makes perfect sense if you're a Democrat I guess... If nothing is ever your fault then it's all good.

It would seem as if their approach is to simply pivot, and act like they knew all along about his cognitive challenges (despite telling everyone they were just buying into right-wing propaganda by talking about Biden's challenges), put emphasis on "Felonies are worse than a president having Alzheimer's", while simultaneously nudging in the direction of having the DNC replace Biden with someone else.

It was just 3 months ago when MSNBC were running pieces like this:
"This version of Biden... Intellectually, analytically, is the best version of Biden we've ever seen"

Clearly the left-leaning media outlets/pundits aren't terribly confident in the notion of the public agreeing with them about "which is worse", otherwise, we'd still see them rallying around Biden instead of Van Jones saying "That was painful to watch, it's not too late for the DNC to change course", or CNN having a piece on in which Jake Tapper said:

“There is a pattern, a discernible pattern, of Democratic officials seemingly trying to convince you, the public, to not believe what you saw and what you heard with your eyes and with your ears on Thursday night,”

and then went on to say...

“The spinning is all very reminiscent of the George Orwell quote from the book 1984. It’s relevant again today. ‘The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.’”


Jake Tapper saying something on TV that if this were 2 months ago, and people only knew the quote and that is was about Biden's mental fitness, if we asked "Which pundit said this?", people would've guessed that it was Jessie Watters over on Fox News.



I'm sure there are some who remember the Louisiana Gubernatorial election in which Edwin Edwards ran against David Duke, and the slogan of the Democrats became "Vote for the Crook, it's important". If they truly felt the same way about this situation, the media would be saying "Vote for the doddering old man, it's important", instead of saying "C'mon DNC, it's not too late to replace the old man with someone better".


I think the fact is, they know that not all voters (even some voters from their own party) see felony convictions as a stand-alone dealbreaker. It certainly wasn't a dealbreaker for Marion Barry (who came back and won both a city council seat, and a subsequent 4th term as DC Mayor after his convictions.


I've been saying for 6 months now (and you can easily go back and find it in my old posts) that the DNC should've been making arrangements for Biden to step away, and have Gavin Newsom or Jared Polis to take the baton if they really wanted to avoid a 2nd Trump term.

I even posted several "compare and contrast" videos showing him speaking and debating in the 1980's up through 2012, and then compared that what we're seeing now to highlight the decline.

Those suggestions/posts got me regularly accused of "Ageism", or people deflected and attributed it to the fact that he used to have a stutter (the kind of stutter that apparently disappears when you're sixteen, is nowhere to be found for 62 years, and then magically makes a comeback)

It would appear that at least some of the CNN pundits have "come around" to my way of thinking on this.

So I got some good news for you. At no point in American history has the president been the only one in charge of the US government. In the Constitution, which has been in use since 1788, the United States government has consisted of three branches with checks and balances. One of those branches is the Executive, which is itself an entire branch of the government. The President of the United States is the chief executive, but he isn't the only part of the Executive Branch. Which means that the government has always functioned as a whole, not as the instrument of a single individual.

You see, if a single individual were in charge of the entire government that be an autocracy. Which is something the founders and framers of our republic explicitly didn't want. They wanted a republic that was governed in a democratic fashion, where no individual or no group of people had all, or even the majority, of the power. But that power would be evenly distributed, and the administration of the nation would require the cooperation of lots of people to keep it running.

So, you see, there doesn't need to be a shadowy organization working in clandestine corners to keep the US government running, even when you have a senile old fart like Biden in office. It just requires the ordinary functionaries doing their job as they have been. Because, historically, the strength of American government has come from its distribution of power, and its administration coming in the form of three branches, with checks and balances, and lots of people doing their jobs.

But I guess conspiracy theories are a lot more fun than having had paid attention back in your high school US Civics class. Even better news? You can still Google this information, and it's free!

Though this will obviously impact the election, we may not make it that far. What has really been exposed is that the US is currently leaderless and nobody is doing anything about it. The bad players in the world know that their time to act against us and our allies is short.

He is a felon. He did try to overturn the election after having lost it not just electorally but in the courts as well.

Denying any of this is true is a much clearer example of gas lighting, imo.

The so-called felony conviction is evidence of the lawfare. However, I have no doubts that the felony will be overturned by the appeal process.

It is evidence of the ex president’s criminality. You can keep denying reality if you wish but the conviction isn’t so called. It was a very trial, with very real charges and a very real jury that found him very guilty.

Could you cite specific evidence of that? You say "almost all" so please give a list of cities and their political affiliations.

Is that something you want? Remember how Donald put his inept SIL in charge of distributing PPEs and Jared made the states compete with each other for supplies, driving up the costs? I remember how Donald was opposed to even testing for covid because more testing meant more cases. Donald foolishly promoted ineffective treatments and refused to let even his base see him get vaccinated. He made the pandemic worse.
