I don't know if this question has been asked before,if it has please share a link to it.
Suppose I notice I'm I'll and I pray to God about it and hoping that He will. Should I keep on ignoring the symptoms even though it has been days now.
Pray first, regardless of when you decide you should see a doctor. We are instructed that we can pray for aid -- it's scriptural. That doesn't mean we should never see a doctor, as other good answers have suggested, but here's the suggestion:
Pray first. If you believe, as Christ instructs about prayer in Mark chapter 11, then what He says will happen will happen, though we can't predict the precise way. I'm telling you from my own direct experience. Prayer matters. Faith matters. If a person has trouble believing though, a very good stepping stone is to pray the perfect prayer Christ Jesus said to you and me to pray, in Matthew chapter 6. We know these words of this prayer in Matthew 6 are perfectly aligned to God's will, and we can totally believe it will be given to us, just as Christ says.
It is written, you shall not tempt the Lord thy God.
Go see a doctor.
Not the same meaning. Here's why -- here's the context for that verse:
1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“ ‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ ”
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ”
(KJV:
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.)
-------------------
So, to test or tempt the Lord would be to intentionally dare God, such as to intentionally cast yourself off a high place for instance -- to intentionally do an act that could result in sudden death, to try to force God to save you, by your own decision, not His.
That's pretty distant to me from the question of just when to go to a doctor, and whether to pray first....
Pray first, regardless.
