Remember the old metal lunchboxes we used to carry? Ahhh, those were good times. Such a variety to pick from! TV shows, movies, comic strip characters... They're selling them again now, but they are very inferior to the ones we had - they're too small, and they don't come with a Thermos.

What kind did you have?

I had a 1976 Bicentennial celebration box that said "Yankee Doodles" on it, with cartoons and funny pictures of patriotic things. Then I had a boring one with a kind of needlepoint picture on it. Then I got Bestey Clark lunchbox - that was kind of like a cross between Precious Moments and Holly Hobbie. anyone remember Betsey Clark? Then once you hit 7th grade luchboxes were for babies...

I guess that I am the only strange one here,I grew up with parents who loved country music. I had a metal "Hee Haw" lunchbox and I also had a metal "Little House on the Prairie" and "Land of the Lost" lunchbox. Remember those? :D

I had that Holly Hobbie one too. I loved it. (BTW, did you know there is a new Holly Hobbie out now, totally modernized?)

I also had a Star Wars one. Me and about fourteen boys. We kept grabbing each others lunchboxes by mistake after school.
