Thanks for your input Rick... Feeding hungry children is never wrong. May the Lord bless you for your good works.When my Aunt was abandoned by her husband, and she had no means by which to provide for her children (because my uncle certainly did not help) She went to the Mormon church, who took her in, fed her found her a job, steady income, food on the table etc. The church she had previously belonged to did nothing to help her, nor did any other...EXCEPT The LDS.
In the end, actions speak far louder than words. People can preach all they want that the LDS has the "Wrong beliefs" or is a "cult" or is "too powerful" but they do take care of people, and they help people learn to take care of themselves. This has been demonstrated over and over again.
I provide for my family, and I live a more and more non-materialistic life. I donate more to local food banks and ministries to help the poor and needy than some people on this forum even earn. I do this because it IS the right thing to do. Anything less would be unloving.
