I certainly believe that He would take the view that murder is certainly worse than theft.
should God take the life of a murderer ?....as judgement?....for the murderer took the life of another?.....what if that one life that was taken was inoccent?....should not God avenge the innocent?...if indeed God is just, righteous...and fair?
Where did I say that the penalty for murder should be the death of the murderer? The punishment fits the crime, not the same thing happens to the person. I oppose the death penalty.
However, the time and place that we all die is the domain of HaShem.
but an eye for an eye .....means what?.....lashes for taking a mans eye?
The punishment fits the crime. A murderer should get life in prison, in my opinion. The reason the death penalty was needed before was because we could not ensure that violent criminals would be removed as a danger to society.
is this in the tanakh?....or was it a literal eye for eye at one time but has evolved.....are there some who hold to the old ways?
I do not believe it was ever practiced as literal. It was always understood that the judges and such gave us the "how-to" do these things. It was necessary because the Torah is not clear on some things.
ok so let me get this straight....you are against the death penalty....against a literal eye for eye....what if rabbis or judges or sanhedrin or even the messiah ....told you otherwise....will you obey?
you did not answer my question....a simple yes or no will do...lolBut they do not say that. If Jesus came back and said that, would you obey?
you did not answer my question....a simple yes or no will do...lol
No, I would not obey. The death penalty is not necessary in this day and age.
good....well gn for now....peace loammi
However, remember that our rabbis said that if a court kills one man in, I think, 100 years it is a bloody court.
i heard that before...This next messiah though....its supose to be bad....will see
I do not believe in Satan or the Lake of Fire. Eternal punishment for finite crimes is not justice; it is unconscionable.
i watch an episode of torture devices used in the old days....the spanish inqiusition....roman torture....torture that has gone back man years........where are those men who died justice?.....will not god avenge....men were tortured and cut off forever from the land of the living......had not god someday resserect they would be gone forever......if they tortured....and cut off.....should not god do the same to them?....even to those who judge the condemn to be tortured....should recieve the works of their hands
No. Nobody should be tortured forever. Not even Hitler.
See... i believe that god should avenge the righteous....wicked sinners who have hurt mankind sould be punish accordingly..i believe he is just to place in the lake of fire....he knows all the untold wickedness man has suffered and endure from wicked men....no i dont believe in death penalty either...cause they may be innocent..though witnesses come forward...and all the evidence is stack against them...
hell was created for satan and fallen angels....he was a liar from the beggining...he steals kills and destroys.....anyone worthy will join him .....for secretly they do these things....
