I would like to have..... a car.

I could care less what kind just as long as it looks good, and runs good. :D ;) :)

I tell this to my friends all the time when we talk about cars. Cause I don't know cars. :D

Although my 15 year old brother wants a Lambragini so he can go over 100 MPH in a 35 mile speed zone...

Gotta love how that works! LOL

Hum...ya know for the longest time it bothered me to say "my" truck, or "my" car, because of the loan against it. I have yet to go buy a vehicle cash. So I know how ya feel! Misery loves company! :sigh:

I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota 4x4 extended cab... it is yellow, my favorite color. I found it one night when I was supposed to be in a night class at my college. I was driving around because I didn't want to go to class, but I lived at home at the time and couldn't go home. I saw it, fell in love with it and told my dad that I wanted it, and he got the loan and I pay my dad, and he pays that with the loan.

I had a 2000 Pontiac Grand AM before that, but it had been in the shop more times than I could count. So I wanted to get a rid of it before it cost me a lot of money to fix because the warranty was running out.

I currently drive a grey 1990 Buick "Boat" sedan. Its roly-poly, floaty ride is best described as 'nautical,' but 'rocket couch' describes what it's like to drive. Imagine navigating your living room sofa down the highway, with a nice stereo playing your favorite song, and a rocket strapped to the back... that's my Buick. The body is best described as 'homely,' but the interior is great, and the car is in perfect mechanical condition at only 76K miles. I inherited the car when my grandmother passed away in 2001, and it had only 33K miles on it at the time. As such, I sold my well-loved VW Jetta to a friend, and have been driving the Boat... err, Buick... ever since. It's seen me through times when I've had lots of disposable income (but didn't splurge on a new car), and times when I eked by as a grad student working in a bookstore. Reliability has been a strength. Whenever I feel down about the car's glaring lack of 'chick magnet' qualities, I just remind myself that it would make a great car for a government agent, as it's still rock-solid (knock on faux wood veneer) and a total sleeper.

I've got a 1994 Chevy S-10 LS extended cab with nearly 257,000 miles clocked in. For a truck with age and mileage, it rides smoothly, and gives me little grief, not to mention it's backed with a lot of power for a small V6 - Much more than the newer S-10's with V6's.
