40 something?

Right off the bat a couple of things come to mind.

1. I'm at an age where I don't feel like I have to be constantly "proving" myself. I'm comfortable with who I am.

2. I'm not too old to enjoy a good party

3. My kids and I have become more than mother-child, I think we're friends.

Mine is just being truly content with my life spiritually, mentally, emtionally, etc.

At forty something it seems like I'm at a point where what I am trying to do is lining up with what I'm supposed to be doing.:)

I love the age I am now. I have learned so much in my life. I am comfortable with me, in fact, I kinda like me...way better than I used to.

Oh me too!!! Me too!!! For years I lacked self confidence, and as I got older, I realized that no matter what, I like me, and what other people think of me doesn't matter, because God loves me!!!

My life experiences have taught me character and hope. Without those trials, the testing of my faith, working of my patience, and fighting my good fight.....my life could be really boring and continue living spiritual ignorance. I have matured spiritually and mentally. However, my waist needs some work !! :(

definately maturing and having learned so many hard lessons in life. It is shocking sometimes because I find myself a bit more sharp at the tongue but I've learned just call things as they are.

One glaring thing I have noticed about myself is that I have slowed down enough to really smell the roses. They smell really pretty. For half my life I didn't have time to stop and smell them but now...awesome...

"I'm old enought to know better, but I'm still to young to care!" :)

"I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once, as I ever was!" ;)

I think that about sums it up for me. :D I can still run with the young ones if I wanna, the past few months I've been getting in better shape than most 30 year olds....

I also like the benefit of perspective on things past. I suppose it brings a certain amount of what might be considered wisdom by some. To those of us that are fourty something we simply realize that it is "life experience".

This is a tough one for me to answer, because I find myself thinking, every time I come into this forum, what's so fabulous about it ;-)?

I guess I'd have to say it's better than my teenage years. I am thankful that I don't have to date and that my husband is faithful. On the other hand, I am in the worst shape of my life and feel older than ever.
