It was hard to choose between POTO and Sweeney, but I chose Sweeney. I might be a little biased though, because I've had a thing for Johnny Depp since Edward Scissorhands came out when I waa nine-years-old.

Another one of my favorites not listed is Moulin Rouge. It's still one of the only movies that makes me cry. Christian's reaction to her death was so gut-wrenchingly realistic, especially with that angushed sob he let out. I also love Ewan McGregor as well. :D

The Phantom Of The Opera FTW!

I didn't like the movie version. Mainly because of their Phantom ..........not hiring Michael Crawford really lost them points in the beginning. But Butler as their Phantom!? WHAT THE MUFFIN!? I mean, he portrayed Erik as a monster. And if you read the best Phantom book ever (Susan Kay's novel), you can see CLEARLY he's a tortured soul.

Sweeney Todd wins for movies I'd say. Phantom is the most amazing play, but Joel Schumacher messed it up in a lot of ways. It was still a decent movie, but it wasn't at all on the same level as the play or book.

Sweeney Todd was beautifully done. I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton so I may be biased, but I loved the cast, the costumes, the general look of it and pretty much everything about this film!

Hands Down -PHANTOM OF THE OPERA !!!
This musical makes me laugh , cry and be angry all at the same time ..Its truly a love story that makes you empathic for the antagonist...You love the Phantom but at the same time you realize he is deplorable
