CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

To become grateful. How do you think we would act if God just let us all into paradise without coming to earth first. I do not think we would fully understand the gift and we grateful. This life was given to us to journey into the heart of God

The purpose is to share in the blissful Triune life of God. God is uncreated and eternal, He simply IS, and it would therefore be pointless to ask "What is the purpose of the life of God." But He is absolute in all His positive qualities. So He wants to share with us His absolutely blissful life in the eternal world to come. In this life we must work on our salvation: to purify our heart from passions through prayer and asceticism, to seek God and the experiential, empirical knowledge of Him and persevere despite all the fear, despair and indifference.
