Where should i start quoting scripture on human disobedience? It means you're replying with what you think and not what the bible actually says.
You're response is demonstrating my point.
I would have to say it's you who don't undertand the account...and the repercussion.
...then you try to refute something you don't understand.
Why is it immoral? Unjust? Unfair?
...do you not know hao a represenative works?
If a crowd of people are guilty of a crime...and stand before a judge....does the judge have to set any free or should the judge sentance them?
...Even if the judge "loves you"?
Is this divine justice? Nope. What makes the judge worthy of going to jail for them?
Where should i start quoting scripture on human disobedience?
And where would i stop?
...was it something i said..?
What point would that be?
You replied in post 447...and didn't get it quite right. How exactly is what I stated in the post you're replying to, incorrect?
Because justice is about punishing the people that actually did the crime. Mercy / forgiveness is the suspension of justice.
Because it is immoral to hold people accountable for crimes committed by others.
Does the guilt of the crowd of people disappear if the judge puts himself in jail?
Is it "justice" and "moral" to not only not punish the crowd of guilty people, but to even give them an eternal reward?
Because that's exactly what your religion is about.
How does that matter?
You may choose who the judge is and what his character is.
It doesn't matter at all to my question...
Is it "just" in any scenario where someone, anyone, else gets the punishment and the 10 raping murderers go free?
Actually, to make it a better analogy, the raping murderers not only "go free", they actually get an eternal reward on top of it.
I'll discuss this with someone else sometime.back in post 440 you said "Ah yes, but not all people choose to be saved."
I asked where the bible says people choose to be saved....so far you have struck out in your replies by not providing scripture that supports your opinion.
I'll discuss this with someone else sometime.
Thanks for your time.
No i mean someone who is interested in a conversation.I hope you'll open your bible and use scripture to present your case. Otherwise it's just your fallible opinion against the bible.
No i mean someone who is interested in a conversation.
A, but i mentioned not choosing Christ, turning a deaf ear, perhaps permanently. You said something on a christian forum...and YOU as a christian..should be able to back it up with scripture.
Part of the conversation requires that.
But if you don't want to use the bible to support your claim...what can I say?
The question in our converation to you was....where does the bible say you choose Jesus?
Your post showed you were ignorant on what scripture actually says. Your post are the typical cut-and-paste post...that have been answered a long time ago.
You replied in post 447...and didn't get it quite right.
You refuse to understand the concept of original sin as well as federal headship.
Even if you disagree with it...you should at least get the christian understanding right.
Even if we wern't held responsible for Adam and Eve...there is still the repercussion...a sin nature...where you do sin against a Holy God. Remove Adam and Eve from the equation and you're still guilty.
