[for me anyway] I will trust the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ speaking that even the death of the lowliest sparrow is cared about by God saying that, "one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father" and that, "not one of them is forgotten before God".

(Matthew 10:29)
(Luke 12:6)

I don't think you can extrapolate from Prov. 12 that animals are in heaven. It just says a righteous man takes care of his livestock. Of course. I have chickens and rabbits. I take care of them and keep my eye on them. It makes sense. I also take care of my house and car because it just makes sense. I don't expect to see any of these in heaven even though I took diligent care of them.
That proverb was referred to by me at least, to give some who think animals are worth little or are simply on earth for us to use, that God considers them and also how people treat them. There are other texts on animals in heaven that have already been given.
