  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is the Falsification for Abiogenesis and Theory of Evolution?

From asatro, that has nothing to do with christianity.
That is correct.

James 3:11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

One of the jobs of the Holy Spirit in this dispensation is to keep demonic activity in check, until He is taken out of the way in the Rapture.

2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

A fallen angel.

Where do you think we got "Thursday" from?
From the Catholic church trying to integrate Nordic pagans by adapting some of their cultural iconography such as the mid-winter solstice celebrations (Yule/Yuletide/Christmas), spring renewal celebrations using rabbits and eggs as fertility symbols (Easter) and, of course, weekday naming conventions.

BTW don't ever tell Thor that's he's only a "Christian fallen angel" when you see him. It's going to make him very angry ... and I don't think you want to see him very angry.

Asatro has nothing to do with demons.

Its mainly about gods fighting icegiants. Much cooler than christianity.

This is not quite correct.

The days of the weeks in Europe arise first form the Roman days of the weeks named after the 7 "planets" (Sun, Moon, Mercury-Saturn). For the 5 modern planets on the list, those planets also had associated Roman gods.

In Romance languages (derived from Latin), the day of the Sun is replaced by "the Lord's Day" (Domingo en español) and the day of Saturn by "Sabbath" (Sabado en español). In Germanic languages, their was a pre-Christian substitution of 4 (not Saturn) of the Roman gods/planet names with Germanic ones, thus most Germanic languages have a "Sun-day, Moon-day", "Thor's-day" and "Saturn-day". Some of them also renamed "Mercury-day" as "mid-week-day" (Mittwoch in German.) [In American we are slowly renaming "Mercury-day" as "Hump-day".]

In the Slavic languages they are just mostly "1st day, 2nd day, etc.".

If a god showed up in a way that wasn't to be confused with hallucination, then that would falsify the position of non-belief or non-existance regarding gods.

What many atheists have said is they would not *worship* such a being. I would not as I am unaware of any being know to exist or described that I would worship or feel is worth of such worship.
Lol, right! You aren't a god and you would not have the ability to do anything but tremble. We are dust mites compared to any conception of an Almighty being.

Excellent point! You are beginning to form an understand that not everyone is going to agree with your specific belief even when there is agreement on an aspect for your belief. Keep up the good work.
I still don't know why you think I would demean people who are living in a certain sin.

Again, I've read plenty of what he wrote. He's a hateful old man.

I guess if someone that smart and so well qualified in biology thought my views about evolution were nonsensical, I'd feel agrieved as well.

The 'hateful' there, is a bit of a joke too, IMO.

I mean, hasn't everyone seen the video of Dawkins sitting by his fireside reading the hate mail he gets from religious fundamentalists?

Agrieved? Is that even a word? I doubt he's any smarter than average. Some of the smartest people as far as wisdom are those who have a very simple view of reality.

.. where their 'reality' there, is based on pure belief .. (which doesn't say much about their 'wisdom', as a direct result of that).

As if there's something wrong with believing that the world was created by a loving God.
Yes, understanding that makes people wise.

Which is all something of a red herring, and perhaps explains the creationists' fascination with Dawkins and his atheism.
