I thought you wanted a date to use as a starting place for your rebuttal.
That's the normal bible skeptic's playbook.
Ask when the Flood happened, then argue from chronology.
"....how did wombats get to Australia if all land animals drowned in a global flood 7,000 years ago?" etc etc

I want to know when you think the flood happened in relation to today.

Why should I care about that?
The OP is about falsifying the theory of evolution. Just expressing your dissatisfaction with the confirming evidence does not address the OP.

But you DID use it.
You relied upon it to make a claim that another poster @AV1611VET wasn't interpreting it correctly.

Hullo Lion IRC.
I'm still waiting for a date range for the supposed global flood of the bible.
AV has given a very specific year. 2348 BCE.
Do you agree with his year?
Yes or no please.

Good luck.
Getting a straight answer out of this one, is like pulling teeth.

Names and quotes are worthless without a link to the source. One of the most common way to lie that creationists use is to quote out of context.

An equal example of abusing a source by quote mining: It is not some hidden knowledge that the Bible says "There is no God" more than twelve times. If I quoted the Bible but did not give you a source when I quote mined so egregiously how would you refute my claim?
You can't find the source with a name and a quote? You are on the internet. It has a search engine.

I don't care.
OK, then why are you here? You aren't interested in falsifying the theory of evolution and you've nothing to replace it with anyway, what's your point?

I dont think the bible provides a date.
But as I said earlier...

2348 BCE?

What is your explanation for the fossil succession, in a young earth view? I've never met a young earther to have a rational explanation for it aside from pure denial.

The fossils were there before the Flood?

Do you have a belief about what has produced the order that these fossils are in?

Or maybe you just haven't focused on this aspect and perhaps aren't sure?

What difference does it make what order fossils are in if they were there before the Flood?

It makes a difference because the order they're in, tells us about the history of life on earth, which really is the history of earth as well, by association.

Deliberately or intentionally not asking questions, that won't get us very far in a discussion related to earth history.

But maybe you don't want to ask these questions?

Why are you here? And what business is that of yours?
I started participating in this thread because the OP was based on the despicable lie that the existence of God falsifies the theory of evolution, which should be countered wherever it is met with.

Of course you don't have to tell me why you are here, but knowing might help me to make sense of your arguments, which right now don't seem to be going anywhere.

@Lion IRC

I would recommend taking a crash course on basic physical geology, historical geology and paleontology. Maybe youtube has some nice crash course information.

To be truly effective at apologetics as they pertain to the age of the earth, you will ideally want to understand what is on the other side of the table.

And beyond that, a quality of any good scientist is never to avoid investigation of questions. It doesn't matter if the question seems hard. Questions sometimes hurt too. But there really cannot be any questions that are avoided. Every scientist has to be willing to go beyond laymen experiences.

And if you want to try to pit yourself against scientists, you have to be on par to really critique our ideas. Arm yourself with knowledge.

And if you have any questions about the science of geology, you are welcome to ask. I've been studying geology for about 15 years now.
