There is no need for an organization to be accountable to, scientists are already accountable to their peers.
What do you call an organization that polices itself?

Fame, money and a name in history books would be assured.
Wrong book to be assured of.

Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Whatever you call it, scientists are not self-policing, it is the nature of science to self correct and it is peer scientists who are the agents of correction when they come up with better supported hypotheses.

I'd have to disagree, in that a persons professional reputation
requires good work. An undisciplined person
who just makes poorly sourced ill considered
logically and factually unsupported claims
as creationists do will not find a research
home outside of a sheltered workshop like
AIG.

Slander? It happens in every field. So assuming evolution science is different would be foolish.
Sure it does. But you are proposing that such things happen in evolutionary biology to such a degree as to invalidate the entire field.
And it's no secret that people questioning the norm get bashed by their peers.
Sometimes they do; there are documented cases of it. But in the end, the one with the evidence winds up winning the dispute.

There was no physical change to Pluto, and you know it. The change was done on paper.

By a rigged vote.

If it was so clear-cut:

1. Why do other prominent scientists disagree with Pluto's demotion?
2. Why was the vote rigged?
3. Why are the legislatures of New Mexico, California, and [some other state] arguing about it?
4. Why did "Plutoed" become the word-of-the-year by the American Dialect Society to spite what happened?
Since you have this obsession over a word in a feeble attempt to discredit scientists let me assist you with a more substantial case.
The nickname for the Kuiper belt object 486958 Arrokoth was Ultima Thule.
During the rise of Hitler, members of the Nazi Party in Germany imagined Ultima Thule as a land of Aryan purity. In the late 1990s, white-supremacist inmates in Portland, Oregon, produced a newspaper called Thule that printed racist and anti-Semitic articles. The Swedish rock band Ultima Thule, a group popular with right-wing listeners and once sponsored by a neo-Nazi movement, released its latest album in 2015.
As a result the nickname has been removed and the scientists who advocated this nickname were convicted tried and executed.
Satisfied now?

A church, a government, a club, pretty much whatever it is
The true church isn't an organization, it is an espousal relationship with Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Why do you feel the need to talk to the mods? I have literally never complained about a post.
Over the years I've gotten the impression that some people are trigger happy.

Well, for one thing, scientists consider it "magic," not "miracles."
As though the two were not the same thing.

Thus they are going about it from the wrong perspective.
Ok.. Please do explain.

Since they think it's magic ... and magic uses smoke and mirrors ... they look for physical evidence.
NO. They like for spells, incantations, potions, wands, etc.

An ion trail, plasma cloud, time quartz, something.
Or not.

Then they find this thing they call the cosmic background radiation, but apply it to cosmic evolution.
And????

Then they wonder why they have no evidence for the absence of creationism.
No. There is nothing to wonder about.

When cosmic evolution has first dibs on anything that is found, mental blocks form.
huh?

It would be incredibly naive to assume it doesn't happen. In every kind of career imaginably, lying happens on a regular basis to advance up the ladder.
Yes. Whenever you have a hierarchy based system of power. A "ladder" of power. People will try to be that one person at the top.
Luckily, science doesn't work that way.
