There are several in the lazy susan in the kitchen, cloth, metal and plastic, and this is a FASCINATING topic because last year I was wondering why it was called "tape" since I think of tape as being an adhesive thing and measuring things have nothing to do with being adhesive. So I looked up the etymology and surprisingly found that the word tape was used for strips of measuring cloth long before it was used to refer to anything adhesive. And for your edification, here's a brief list of things which are tape:

  • Adhesive tape, any of many varieties of backing materials coated with an adhesive
  • Athletic tape, pressure-sensitive tape that holds muscles or bones in certain positions
