What is hyper-calvinism?

J. I. Packer wrote a book called "Evangelism and the Soveriegnty of God."

I've not read it (yet) but I believe it addresses this very issue from a Reformed perspective. H-C's beware!

I can personally identify with Don in his frustration. That's partly why I'm not as active these days as I used to be. That, and I can waste far too much time here.

I used to debate homosexuality with liberal Christians and unbelievers alike in the society section until I was blue in the face.... talk about frustration. I just cannot get myself back out there because it is so wasteful. They are all there to win an argument, and the Lord knows that is oftentimes my motivation as well.

HyperCalvinists are thankfully few in number. OTOH, the PCA and your Founders Churches check http://www.founders.org are especially evangelistic. So are the rest of the Reformed churches. Check their websites for missions info. It is really great seeing how the Lord uses these church bodies to spread the Word.

Actually IIRC, Founders is an inteegral part ofthe SBC and the Founders churches are marvelous! I love my home church but enjoy attending a Reformed SBC every now and again.
