In the manner which I learned from the pro law crowd I already explained it so go look for your self. Obviously you didn't like my explanation and totally disregarded it. I will offer this though -will you explain why you disagree?
Breath isn't the soul. And if you're going to compare man to an animal all this God stuff is shear tom foolery..... and worthless vainty for one simple ceases to exist either righteous or wicked. Solomon didn't make a distinction. Therefore his statement applies to all and not just the wicked. IOW even the righteous are annihilated. So party harty cause it is over for every body at death.

I did.it seems we have a differing view here.
will you please elaborate?
All I can do is show you what the Bible says. In Gen 1 it clearly says breath isn't the soul. Which is what I already said. I don't know of any Scripture the defines the soul by or as some substance or thing. Yo need this to establish your doctrine so that is up to you to define. Be my guest. I'm all ears. What do you think the 'soul' is?
God the Father and Jesus are both against sin; does that make them "Pro Law?"In the manner which I learned from the pro law crowd I already explained it so go look for your self. Obviously you didn't like my explanation and totally disregarded it. I will offer this though -
Then you're saying to me that all there is to a person is the body of flesh. The Scripture states the soul that sinneth it shall die yet some are given eternal life through Jesus Christ. It doesn't say the body that sins shall live or die in reference to the soul. The body has already received its unrevocable sentence of returning to dust. The soul doesn't return to dust. It also isn't breath that returns to God on the demise of the body. The soul is depicted as having different destinies according to certian facts that become unchangable upon the demise of the body.Actually, it applies to the person. Its simply speculation to say it belongs to a 'part' of a person.

OK so we're only animals. As you wish. The Scripture doesn't describe an animal as having a soul that I know of. Man is different. No one here has said, "breath is the soul",,,only you have somehow gotten that out of what David64 has posted...how you got it, we don't know...
God compares man to an animal...The Bible says so...so you don't kick against the goads!

OK Please pay attention to what Paul says in your quote. Jesus discusses life after death. But it has been said here that it was only a parable meaning just a story. As you wish.1 Corinthians 15:12-19(NKJV)
12Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen.
14And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty.
15Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise upif in fact the dead do not rise.
16For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen.
17And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!
18Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.
there has to be a resurrection of the dead or else they will never live again!

And so am I. And you know I'm not pro law. Being against sin is one thing. Being pro law is another. Sin was before the law and the reason for the law. And this doesn't relate to the OP.God the Father and Jesus are both against sin; does that make them "Pro Law?"
Verse please. Thanks. The Bible clearly says things that breathe are souls and that when they die they become dust again.

Are animals redeemed? Wasn't man compared to and put on the level of the animals? What happens to the animals? Do they have an after life? Not that I can tell. Such is told to a child losing a pet to comfort them, but is it the truth? Based on what? All I can say to that is.
