Really? They took x-rays and didn't share the results with you?
Soccer is not a game considered particularly dangerous, and not one where you could die. But there were these two high school aged club teams playing. Someone kicked a long, high ball falling towards the goal, and players tend to crowd up in the goal mouth when that happens. This one kid was standing in front of one of the upright metal goal posts. Another kid was standing right in front of him. They both jump up to try to get their head on the ball and apparently the kid in front of the other one adjusted to slightly jump backwards, and he knocked the back of the other kid's head into the goalpost.
The kid was knocked unconscious, but came to after less than a minute. He was able to stand up and walk around and said he felt fine. But people had already called for an ambulance. Even though he said he felt fine, people said he needed to go get checked out. During the ambulance ride he went to sleep again, they couldn't revive him, and he died on the way to the hospital. Yeah I agree, head injuries are not to be trifled with.
