I love lilac, but I don't have a plant here. Every time I see it in the nursery it's so expensive I haven't been able to justify buying it!One of my favorite fragrances besides lilac.
Sweet potato. What I tend to do is cook soup in a large batch and then freeze it in individual meal portions, then when I want some for lunch I go rummage and see what I can find in the freezer. The aim is to have healthy meals on hand rather than reaching for junk food, and sometimes it even works...Sounds good, as with coffee it's still to hot for soup also, here. What kind of soup are you having?
I do that too.I love lilac, but I don't have a plant here. Every time I see it in the nursery it's so expensive I haven't been able to justify buying it!

That's really a good idea and a real problem for me. I realize that is why i resort to junk food. What's your favorite soup. I think i have too manyI love lilac, but I don't have a plant here. Every time I see it in the nursery it's so expensive I haven't been able to justify buying it!

Garlic soup? I don't think I've had thatGarlic or no garlic. You're right, no choice
I tend to mix it up a bit depending on the season and what I feel like. If I were making soup today I'd probably choose something like this:That's really a good idea and a real problem for me. I realize that is why i resort to junk food. What's your favorite soup. I think i have too many
I've never had lentil anything on purpose, lol. My choices would be potato, bean with bacon or clam chowder, the white. Tell me if the red is any good?I tend to mix it up a bit depending on the season and what I feel like. If I were making soup today I'd probably choose something like this:

Yummy soup yet so easy to throw together! Cook time is a guess since I live at high altitude and it takes forever for the lentils to break down. Wewww.food.com
One thing I really don't like, even though in theory it would be a good healthy choice, is mushroom soup. I love mushrooms, but not in soup!
At least those are relatively small creatures. Ever had a dalmatian dropped on your head?
I've never eaten clam chowder (not being one who eats shellfish on purpose), so... can't help you there! I love lentils. Cooked well they're delicious, healthy and cheap. I admit that many westerners don't seem to know what to do with them.I've never had lentil anything on purpose, lol. My choices would be potato, bean with bacon or clam chowder, the white. To be fair, my husband (who works fewer hours than I do) does most of the cooking. But that's part of why I tend to cook in bulk and freeze; it means I can do a big cook up on my day off and then make work days easier. You work and you cook from scratch, wow!

So happy that this cold that's been plaguing me finally seems to be subsiding.
Yikes! Hope you feel better soon.Still have a horrible cough from it. Was actually coughing so much I started to throw up the other day.
Oh dear.. lol.
sending prayersWaiting for 10 am. Unfortunately I have to take one of mom’s cats in to be put down. He is almost 14 but he is dropping weight at an alarming rate and he is losing control oh his bladder and vomiting.I dread this type of thing.
