Thank you, Michie, for that excellent reminder. :p

I am currently caught in that awkward place where I have so.much.to.do, and yet I need to manage it in bite-sized chunks so as not to get completely overwhelmed.

CF is good for procrastinating!

Yes it is. I agree about manageable steps to get things done. Hopefully you will not be so overwhelmed this year.

Everyone needs something fun and creative in their lives.

Now I'm wrestling with Tenebrae, and how to re-shape the service when I can't let the congregation sing. :(

Currently resuming the book I was writing.

Nerve wracking really.. considering my brain is not adept at expressing my thoughts with words. Also the fact that what I am writing is extremely personal. I don't really expect the book to sell, and will most likely make it available for free. The purpose of the book is just to have a collection of my thoughts and ideas. My real goal is to start up a social media presence. Such as Youtube and Twitter. Although these days it's probably best to also plant seeds in alt-tech.

I think everyone should do something similar. Splurge out your inner thoughts and make them known in the market place of ideas.

That sounds very interesting. Not sure I’d want to market my inner thoughts, etc.

Been listening to Paul Bloom interviews on Youtube. I have not really followed this man in years, and found it amusing that he's writing a new book about why suffering can be pleasurable. The only reason I discovered this man was because I came to the conclusion that my own emotional empathy was causing bad behavior within me and that empathy can have bad qualities along with the good and googled to see if other people thought the same. Seems like Paul Bloom has a lot of similar interests about human psychology as I do.

Understandable.

As for me.. I think people would quickly figure out that I'm drawing a lot of inspiration from my own inner self.. so I might as well just be open about it. Plus I figure readers would be more intrigued by something written from a personal take rather than a clinical one.

I’d read it for sure. I still need to look Paul Bloom up.

Hey? What's the holdup? Lol.
I’m reading several interviews with him now along with several rebuttals. Here is one:
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/...aul-bloom-is-wrong-about-empathy-and-morality

Interview:

Why humans are cruel

I’ll be honest. I’m not quite sure what to make of him. Seems he has a problem with empathy and why some are empathetic, which he seems to think are based on the wrong motives.

I don’t think we are so hardwired that’s we cannot evolve.

I mostly agree with Bloom. We may be able to change our empathy somewhat, but emotions are messy things and it can be hard to fight against the tide and most people will probably fall back into the pitfalls empathy can bring.

I do believe that some people are more able to better handle their empathy than others depending on their chemical wiring. My father for example is one I would label as extremely emotionally empathic. He is able to cast his empathy wide. Despite being very emotionally empathic he is a very loving person, even to his enemies and doesn't seem to exhibit many of the problems I witness from other very empathic people.

Some people are better at outgroup empathy compared to ingroup empathy than others.

Although from my experience most highly empathetic people I have met were trouble. I was no exception.
