  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Weekend plans are on my mind. If all goes well, I expect to be adding a new feature and recording a video for a software development project, finishing three drawings (my sketching is quick, but my computer coloring is slow), painting a model, and fixing my mountain bike's derailleur so I can ride it again.

Sadly, sometimes I attract mentally unsound women.

I am not into having an angsty relationships. Maybe I was when I was younger; as a man who is in his 30s and suffers from depression and other psychological disorders, I am just too tired. I don't want a woman who likes to fight and be sad all the time. I just want a woman who respects me and is kindhearted. Everyone has faults and no one is perfect, but I want someone who at least seems to be trying.

Occasionally I lurk the Female Dating Strategy on Reddit. It's filled with incredibly toxic and self-entitled women. I think some of them need to realize that men have desires beyond having a mate. I suspect most of them are not exactly high up in the looks department and seem to mostly be angry that "Alpha" males are not into them, but even then; I think most men with some sense would rather be with a woman who is average in the looks department yet has a nice personality compared to a gorgeous woman who has a rotten one.

My weekend (such as it is) plans are also modest. I hope to get down to the library and change books over, maybe catch up with housework, that sort of thing. I've been working too much lately!

I am starting to feel like I am experiencing a plot twist... all this time I thought I did not understand what love is very well and what a healthy relationship looks like, but now I am starting to believe I actually have a pretty decent understanding love and most others do not.

Which is a scary and disheartening thought, lol.

I don't want to be bitter... I know plenty of good women are out there. I hate to say it... but the kink community does have a lot of broken and psychologically messed up people in it. I kind of feel bad for some of the women I blew off in the past. I don't know... a vanilla relationship sounds nice... wouldn't be super exciting... but you know sometimes boring and tame is good too. Just a couple with mutual respect who can fulfill their biological needs and always have at least someone to be around. Even if they don't feel "romantic" love in any real deep sense. That's probably better than a lot of people have.

Anyways I'm gonna drink now, lol.

I feel like some of my mental fog is clearing away. When I meditate it helps... does seem to be largely stress induced. I think kicking a toxic person out of my life has also helped.

I find it somewhat remarkable... one of my air pods fell into the sink and got wet... the sound was extremely muffled... yet after shaking some of the water off the sound came back. I waited a few days and air dried the air pod before charging for safety reasons... but as of now... it seems fully recovered.

Sometimes I should take these air pods off when I'm doing certain things... but realistically I just forget.

Lol, I don't want to end up on a registry.

I was in a bathroom store one and this senile old man was having a friendly chat with me... and I was washing my hands and he unzipped and started going in the sink and bathroom mirror. He then zipped up and walked away. I just stood there in shock.. lol.

I'll say this quietly while Paidiske is having lunch. Judging by most gas station restrooms I would bet there are a fair number of people out there who were never properly potty trained.

mature and responsible,

not when we are acting like two-legged animals.

It is about becoming a "Mentch" a human.

Agreed, fully human, that's the ticket.

It is not about being judgemental when we fail,

nor making it a norm either, "Yeah, we are only human".

Fully human is something to strive for.
