I’m ready for spring. I know that. Had enough snow for this season.Yeah yesterday was pushing 70 here too.
I guess north of Minnesota is expected to get 10 inches of snow tomorrow and us none.. whew.. glad we dodged that bullet. Also this somewhat explains the severe weather and tornadoes we experienced today.
Hoping things warm up sooner than that. I am so over it!5 months down, 1 or 2 to go lol
3 posts. I’m suspecting he was just trying to cause a stir. I’d like to think people are not that awful.Reading this thread reminds me of a saying I told my daughter. Just because you think it doesn't mean you should say it. There's no upside to that confession. It will be difficult to forget. Everyone has imperfections.

I’ve heard these things myself. But they were usually nasty manipulative people you do not want anything to do with. The whole thing reeked troll to me here though. Having strangers on the internet voting on your marriage is hardly normal. They are. It may have been a sock account for that reason. The embarrassment of acknowledging the truth under a recognizable username would be difficult.
It isn’t the sort of thing you want to hear from a married man. But you’ll encounter it as a single.

Most definitely.Could be but it’s a good teaching point. If more read that forum they’d avoid a lot of problems. The nitty gritty stuff shows up there. Things you should tackle before the altar.
Many of those oldest of the old grew up taking care of their elders, tradition no doubt from the beginning of time. In one generation that all but disappeared and I doubt there are many younger today who would even consider looking after their parents as was once done. Ona bright note... many did rescue their parents from care homes for fear of covid in the institutions. Whether they decide to carry on in the old ways remains to be seen.A bit of realism up front would go a long way. But many young couples have literally never seen what can happen.
I’m thinking I need a new oven. It starts making noise once it’s on so long and lasts even after I turn it off. Then I guess once it cools, the noise stops. I have no idea what the problem could be.
Parental care is another issue that should be discussed. Family dynamics differ. Sometimes the responsibility falls on one person. Or divorce altered the picture and children make up the difference. Do parents have adequate health and long term coverage? Residency expectations. Are they moving in or will you stay with them?
Getting it out in the open helps. I’ve watched marriages fray over this.
It’s a a GE True Temp.What kind of oven?
My whole stove makes a clicking sound when it gets too hot for a while and it turns itself off.
Then I have turn it off by hand, wait a few moments and turn it back on.
It is a safety device in case one should go out
forgetting to turn it off.
I do not know why manufacturers insist on still making stoves with the oven at the bottom.
Much better with splitlevel, it is not practical to have to go on yours knees to put in and take out.
