I’ve done it with cement molds. Never tried a silicone mold for anything.Thank you! This is exactly the sort of expensive mistake I could have easily made!
Did you feel like a whipping post after it was over?
Gardening is work as it is. I say invest in the attachment.Exactly. I'd like to think of myself as still being able to hit a lick. But that tiller will tell the truth. I thought about getting the tiller attachment for the tractor more than once as it was beating me to death, lol.

I thought they were. But it is work and a lot of it. I have made a lot of cement balls, etc. for my garden areas. I even made cement pumpkins one year for the autumn season. I put beer or yogurt on them at times and put then in shady areas and they grow moss! I’ve cheated as well and found plastic things that looked interesting and poured in them and simply cut and peeled them off and disposed in the recycling bin. I’ve poured in glass as well and then just tapped the glass off. Were they relatively easy to use, Michie? Or would I be setting myself up for a world of pain, just for an experiment I might not persevere with?

That’s great!I managed to keep a positive attitude throughout most of the day.
There are plenty of ideas out there,
I know, but that's the problem! It could easily become a rabbit-hole of enthusiasm, I buy all the stuff, use it once or twice, and then it gathers dust...
(This may have happened with other passing enthusiasms in the past...)
That’s the truth! It’s totally worth it to me.Ah, but they taste so much better home grown.
No, stick with it.
Look at the third vid I posted it is mostly stuff that is lying around anyhow.
So this is the sort of thing I'm looking at... Silicone Casting Mould Open Flame | Etsy
Latex Mould to make Round Flower of Life Wall Plaque Mold for | Etsy
(There are a million variations on the theme, but it gives you some idea).
Although those videos do make the basic technique look easy... I'm guessing they don't show you all the times their attempts went wrong!
I'm also wondering about colour; I understand you can buy dyes to add to cement, but that adds another layer of complexity again.
Casting resin looks like it can give amazing results but descriptions online leave me thinking it's probably not a beginner's technique.

I had to look up "Flower of life",
had not heard of it before.
Found that it symbolizes seven days of creation, which is a bummer.
The world was created in six days,
the seventh day the Creator rested.
Or so it reads.
