Been wrestling a lot internally lately. How nice I should be to others, without falling prey to being victimized.

My mind has never been good with moderation, and throughout my life I've found myself falling into these two extremes of being overly nice, and incredibly combative and hateful. I do believe it relates to my spiritual drive, despite being an atheist I still have the mindset of totally committing to something or not committing at all. Although really, it's just the reality of hyper empathy.

Been trying to cut back on how much I post on here.

They gave me Fluorouracil.
for the Precancer on my forearm. Not fun. It's essentially a form of topical chemo. and I have 21 days of it.

I missed your post before. I was doing Fluorouracil last month. What a lousy name for a medicine. I can't even spell it when I'm looking right at it. They said I either have pre-cancer or cancer. The prescription said use it for 2 or 3 weeks. 2 or 3? Isn't that bit vague? I used it for 4.

Before last month, I'd never heard the word "precancer". Seems weird that's there's a pre-disease. AFAIK there's no pre-tuberculosis, or pre-syphilis, or pre-alcoholism. Plus also if alcoholism is a disease, why aren't cocaineism and heroinism names for diseases?

Anyway, last Friday I got a voicemail from the doctor saying the biopsy showed it was cancer and not pre-cancer. The opposite of what I wanted to hear. It's on my head. I have head cancer. Who knew? Oh well, what's the worst that could happen? Spoiler Alert: we're all going to die.

You should be as nice as possible. If you're combative and hateful, you will still feel yourself victimized at times, but you won't be righteous.

@MehGuy Plus another thing - could you change that avatar please? Any image of Peter Lorre bums me out. You're probably bumming out the whole internet. You used to use images of semi-attractive ladies. Why don't you go with something like that, or one of those old NFL quarterbacks like John Elway or Troy Aikman who had big, toothy grins.

Fun fact: unborn babies hiccough in the womb. Less fun fact: this can be incredibly uncomfortable for their mothers!

My daughter hiccoughed a lot in the womb. I didn't know what those little jerky movements were until she did it when I was holding her, after she was born, and I was like, "Ooh, that's what that was!"

Well of course I am now; she's been a corpse for several decades.

Anyway since I found out I'm dying I thought I'd start checking things off my bucket list. Yesterday I rode a merry-go-round. Today I played miniature golf. Tomorrow will be devoted to creating ample counter space.

Wow, I guess I should have been a bit more creative. I've got the lamest bucket list ever.
