What are others views of what the "abyss" in the NT. It is only mentioned 9 times that I can see and is only mentioned in Luke of the Gospels and Romans of the Epistles. Thanks.

Romans 10:7 Or any should be descending into the abyss/abusson <12> this is Christ out of dead-ones to be up-leading.
