Let the Nations be Glad by Piper
I finished reading Christless Christianity by Horton about 2 weeks ago.
It's a pretty easy read. It's Hortons analysis of the current state of the church across denomination lines in the US. He argues that even if 86% of the population claims to have Christian they suscribe to deistic therapeutic moralism which he pretty much equates with paleginism. In other words most "christians" believe that as long as you are/try to be a good person and you try to live a good life you will go to heaven. Also that the gospel has become seeker friendly and having an inner experience it's not longer about creeds but about deeds. How was Christless Christianity? I heard him interviewed on Stand To Reason a few weeks back, and it sounded interesting.
Hello friends,
I met a friend face to face this morning who I met online for breakfast. Really exciting first for me.Particular Baptist are on the endangered species list in my neck of the woods and my friend Randy drove 40 miles to meet.
