Oh, I haven't been neglecting the Scriptures. I do morning and evening devotions with my roommate everyday, and am very involved at church. I just don't have the time to read supplementary theological material beyond that very often. I used to read philosophy and theology constantly, but I've had to cut back. Soli Deo Gloria Jon

Welcome back, Jon!!!

I was hoping career oriented stuff for you would be theology..... Well you're not dead yet. Maybe one day....

I've been so busy lately, I haven't been reading much, which is very unusual for me. I just picked up a book written by an old friend of mine, who I met through Phil Keaggy, another friend of mine. Joe Vitale wrote a book called "Backstage Pass", and I've started reading it as I can, little bits at a time. It's a walk back through time, and a lot of what he writes about, I have my own memories of, from a different but similar perspective, in the music scene as it was on the late 60's-early 70's. I haven't seen him in years, and he might not even remember me, but I'm remembering things, people, places, and events I haven't thought about in years.

I do need to get back to some theology reading, though. It's been a while, and I'm feeling the lack of it.

Cool!! I heard that Keaggy and Randy Stonehill have put out another CD together. I havn't heard it yet. Have you? It's supposed to be similar to Sunday's Child.

I've heard bout it, don't know if it's out yet. If not, it will be soon....should be good, though!

Just got my copy of The Holiness of God by Sproul in the mail today!
Ligonier is awesome!!! They also sent a free DVD and MP3 audio disc of a bunch of Sproul's stuff from the site. I didn't even know the extras were coming.
:)

Thanks for listening.

Just like any good crack dealer. "The first one is free."

IOW...they give you a free sample. Then when you're hooked and have to have it, you'll pay anything for it!! ;)

One Thing You Can’t Do In Heaven by Mark Cahill

A must read for every believer!
Cahill is intense. You will be convicted. I don't know where he falls soteriologically, but the man witnesses to everybody he meets. And by everybody, I mean everybody.

I got Desiring God, by Piper, and Systematic Theology, by Berkhof for Christmas. I am reading both.

Of course, I have children running around, so most reading will happen next week when I go back out on the road.
