Ahhhhhh we can't KNOW anything if God exists, if it is all just science. Three years of soul searching and apologetics and I have come to the same conclusion we cannot KNOW especially compulsive doubters or analytics. This means I can do nothing to be saved. The trick is that the arminians, the soul winners and the convincers wants to trick you into saving yourself so you can call yourself a Christian. You're not even a Calvinist and yet you have the same view they do. This is called Totally Depravity. The non Christian will convince you that Totally Depravity is false and in turn convince you to save yourself. They will say if "you can, you ought". Then you will have the false "Free Will" instead of "Captive Will or "Slaved Will". If you had a choice, you wouldn't want to believe in God like the rest of all of mankind.


In other words, You really need to stay away from False arminianism. They will just confuse you more.

You can come back to these questions only after the fire alarm in your head isn't going off all the time. Trying to sort it all out in the state you are currently in won't work. Your brain is kind of like a Venus fly trap right now. Any important question or disturbing thought that happens to buzz into it is clamped down upon and your brain wants to chew on it. That's why the pedophilia thing has cropped back up too. If you truly want to feel better than you must do what the therapist is telling you to do, even if it's super hard.
If you can try to take a vacation from the forums for awhile so as not to feed the OCD by the searching for reassurance. That's what I'd do if I was in your shoes.

I just want to know why this is OCD and not falling away from God it is just impossible to know if athiests or Christians are right. If anyone has had this type of OCD. How long did it exist. Has it been your whole life?

Look at it this way. You have no choice, either way and yes, you are a puppet to God's strings. If He chooses you then great. if He don't chose you then you won't know about it.

If you believe in Jesus then you can move on and not be obsessive. All arminians are obsessive cause saving themselves will always be endless. Everyday they wake up with doubt and re accept again and again. The co operation plans don't work. Assistive grace plan don't work. It never worked. Thats what you're doing. You're trying to earn Salvation and that will make you obsessive

If you believe then you're on God's strings and you can live happily ever after.

Atheist are never right regarding to Christianity. Agnostics are weak atheists. Both are called non-Elects, goats, tares or unregenerates. They can't help to be in that state. If you believe then you're not in that state. God caused you to believe. You didn't cause yourself to beleive. It would be impossible. That is the meaning of faith comes before belief. Not Belief and then faith. Belief and then faith is a red tape that never ends and loops around and around and around and around. That would drive a man insane. I don't know much about OCD but all of mankind doubts God exist. It's in plain view straight from God:

It is man who:

1. - is deceitful and desperately sick (Jer. 17:9).
2. - is full of evil (Mark 7:21-23).
3. - loves darkness rather than light (John 3:19).
4. - is unrighteous, does not understand, does not seek for God (Rom. 3:10-12).
5. - is helpless and ungodly (Rom. 5:6).
6. - is dead in his trespasses and sins (Eph. 2:1).
7. - is by nature a child of wrath (Eph. 2:3).
8. - cannot understand spiritual things (1 Cor. 2:14).
9. - is a slave of sin (Rom. 6:16-20).

Arminians will tell you a different tale. I'll show you what the Bible said. I wouldn't worry so much. You can only do what you can do. If God chooses you not to doubt Him, then you won't. Just leave the Bible like it say it is and don't let the rest tell you another tale from another gospel. OCD might be more toward a mental illness. It might not be any different from a handicap person that can't help something. That doesn't change what salvation is according to God.

I personally believe we have free will to doubt God, or to doubt He exists. God has said that he put inside us this knowledge of His existence, so it would be a choice to doubt, in a way.

But I still say that if the subject has come up in your mind about there being a Supreme Being we call God, then surely seek Him. He welcomes all who seek Him (and none of us are perfect.)

If God chooses everyone to be saved then whats the point of having Hell? To keep you warm?
It's a mystery why God choose some and not other.

Please consider that it is God who:

1. - draws people to Himself (John 6:44,65).
2. - creates a clean heart (Psalm 51:10).
3. - appoints people to believe (Acts 13:48).
4. - works faith in the believer (John 6:28-29).
5. - chooses who is to be holy and blameless (Eph. 1:4).
6. - chooses us for salvation (2 Thess. 2:13-14).
7. - grants the act of believing (Phil. 1:29).
8. - grants repentance (2 Tim. 2:24-26).
9. - calls according to His purpose (2 Tim. 1:9).
10. - causes us to be born again (1 Pet. 1:3).
11. - predestines us to salvation (Rom. 8:29-30).
12. - predestines us to adoption (Eph. 1:5).
13. - predestines us according to His purpose (Eph. 1:11).
14. - makes us born again not by our will but by His will (John 1:12-13).

See! If God gives everyone the gift of faith then whats the point in wrestling with the devil?

It's the free Willers are the ones that are confusing you a lot. The confusion stops at reading the above Bible Quotes. God chooses the Elects before they were born. Not everyone will be the Elects. Just go with the Bible and leave it to that. It is that simple.

All mankind don't want to be saved as you can see in plain view in the quotes above spoken by God, Himself. Read it again. It will not go away. Never has. You have no choice but to chill. If God chooses you and you're still chilled, then you believed. You can live happily ever after. The problem is that the arminians will look at you and say, "you're not doing enough" or "I can't tell" so therefore you'll have to work a little harder to prove it that you're saved. Don't buy, "you must earn salvation" from the goats. Any atheist can act like they're saved cause the armininias instructed them to follow step by step plan or fill out the club card. They teach Jesus-coated Hinduism.

You have been sugarcoated ! Try the sugar free Bible.

Step in a Presbyterian Church and they won't convince you to "GET SAVED" like on bumper stickers. They will only proclaim the Gospel to you. BIG difference. Not beg you to fill out the entertainment club card and confuse you.

I think your looking in the wrong places for your answer Raven. And no matter what anyone says or does here in this forum will fill that void or doubt that is within you. That's just my opinion.
