what if im the only person

I don't think i have ever been someone other than me.

I've thought of things like this before when I was 12. "What if everyone else are just robots or illusions to make me perceive the world this way." It never lasted long though. It would be very weird, and I would question the origins. I used to think "Is blue to me the same as blue to them? Do I see blue, and they see red, but know red as blue so there is no confusion? Man, I have Harry Potter books to thank for the time to think during reading time in 7th grade. XD

Andy, I feel much better now!! I had those same thoughts when I was your age, and I never, ever mentioned them to anyone for fear people would think I was nuts! Actually, as a counselor now, I know many people have these thoughts.

I don't think you need to worry about it. I'm pretty sure I'm real and most of the people I know are real, though I'd question the existence of some of them. LOL

I guess the proof that you're "REAL" is that I'm reading a post you typed and submitted.



I never had thoughts or questions like these - so I cannot relate in any way.

ps. if people honestly thought people or reality weren't "real", then I think they'de be alot more willing to throw themselves in harm's way to test the possibility.

I actually think it could be a suggestion from the enemy - scripture teaches us that we're all VERY REAL - with feelings & emotions & memory...

I don't doubt in today's saturated climate of the occult & supernatural content, this type of question might be rampant? I dunno, but it defies what God has taught about humanity.

Well, demonic suggestion goes on with practically all of us at some point or another-- & at any age whether we're saved or lost.
I had vivid spiritual dreams (err, nitemares) as a little girl that were NOT normal or anything I could have known at that age....

Demonic spirits won't prevail over everyone, but they will continue working against all that is true & of God.

See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

Believe GOD instead. HE said He created ALL PEOPLE - so just as YOU exist, so do your own parents & others that He created.

To play out your reasoning...
WE'RE EITHER ALL PEOPLE IN THE SAME SENSE, OR NONE OF US ARE - that would mean you're just as REAL or FAKE as everyone else around you becuz they're obviously thinking or have thought the same thing you have

If you truly have issues w/ this, you may actually need to see someone in the field of psychology IRL.

As I said, don't worry about it. When those thoughts come along, there's no real harm, unless you truly begin to suspect they are true. There's a fine line between imagination and psychosis. Personally, I don't think you're anywhere near that line. If the thoughts bother you, push them aside by remembering who you are in Christ, the Creator. Review His creation story, and get out and enjoy His creation by walking in and among it.

Ya, it was a long time ago, but I definitely remember me & some friends having heated debates w/ him in them. I'm unsure of how much can be said as per rules, so I'll just let it go.
