  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Lord just touched my heart with a prayer for a family that I met at church tonight. A mother and a child with down syndrome. I've noticed that the mother might be lagging with keeping care of his needs.

*DISCLAIMER* I know nothing about them, personally. So I'm not really going to go beyond what I observe. All in all, I could be totally wrong, but God burdened me nonetheless.

It's probably both very rewarding and draining caring for the needs of someone with down syndrome. What I want to know is this: What happens to someone whose family passes on and is left with noone to take care of them?

Help me pray for this particular family, please. I don't remember their names yet.

please pray for my former coworker. she was diagnosed with bowel cancer about a year-ish ago. She's been told that she has 2 years left at most and she will never come off of chemo.

Also please pray for my (former) supervisors. One has been diagnosed with bowel cancer just recently and has been fighting an infection of some kind. I'm not sure how far along her cancer is but I'm praying they caught it early enough to be able to effectively treat it.

and my other super is on leave right now because her husband is dying. He doesn't have long to go and from the sounds of things it could be any day now.

so yeah. they need God's healing and comfort right now.

God has been soo good to me lately. I'm getting to see Him in a different way and I'm slowly growing in faith and getting close to Him again!

Prayers needed:
That I continue to grow in faith and getting closer to God.
Oh and that I stop overthink certain things and turn it all over to God, completely!
