  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I should be okay. My biggest worry is that this will cause me to miss more work and I won't be able to pay my bills. I'll keep in touch and let y'all know how I'm doing.
Ok...I'm praying for you  and please keep us posted

County health dept is free. Rob, don't neglect yourself if free care is available. Your health is worth much more than your pride.

I talked to the Department of Health and Social Services for Denver, and they said that they can't provide free health care, but rather, health care at a diminished cost. I'm still all ears for free health care, if I can find it, but my bills come first. I slept all day today but still feel like crud.

I could use some prayer...I hurt my back 2 weeks ago and have been in quite a bit of pain. The doc thinks I may have a herniated disc but isn't sure. I don't have 2 of the main symptoms for that so, we're trying some other things before sending me to the hospital for an MRI.

I'm doing a bit better in that I can stand up straight and walk rather than crawl or walk bent over.

In some ways I'm better and in others I'm still really in a lot of pain. Anyways, I could just use some prayers. Thanks.

Definitely praying for your friend flnativegrl. I know exactly what she's going thru  I know of a great website that helped me with a lot of my questions both pre and post surgery. If you think it would be of a help to her let me know and I'll send you the link :)

I could use prayers for my job search and just discovering what God wants me to do with my life. Thanks ya'll.

:prayer:

I could also do with some prayers. The proverbial poop has hit the equally proverbial fan in my roommate situation, and there is a chance that I could move out after I pay my roommate this next rent payment on Thursday. Just a few concerns:

I found out yesterday that--due to an error in the "call-in" system--my employer has me logged as being absent eleven times since February 5th. I have been absent two days since then that I can think of (late on other days, but I worked). If that is the case, I am looking at a paycheck that falls short of my rent payment and leaves me choking for resources (i.e., food and gas) for the following two weeks. The solution is if my employer will grant me to work some very serious overtime the next couple of days.

My landlord (the one my roommate pays our rent money to) is previewing the house to a prospective tenant, and we have to have the house clean by then. Between the overtime I need and the time I need to clean the house, I will not be sleeping until Saturday night.

I could use some prayer for healing. I have been battling a cold for almost three weeks. I am functional, but it is making it difficult to be as productive in life as I should be. It is a little discouraging, but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Thanks for the prayers.

Prayers all around.

I would ask that y'all pray with me in expectation that the Lord will provide a job for me soon. I would love to work at the job I applied to for the county I live in; it pays very well and would enable me to move out possibly sooner than I expected (if that's what God wants).

Praying.

Hey all. My Dad just made a new rule out of the blue that I can't use his computer past midnight. The problem is, that's how I'm making my income right now--writing articles on the only computer in the house with Internet access.

I am truly looking forward to moving out at the end of July, but won't be able to do so if I don't get the time on my Dad's computer that I need. Please pray that I will be able to find the money I need, and soon.

My dad is going to be having some tests done to rule out cancer...please pray for us...we're a tiny family (just my parents, myself, and my son) and all we've got is each other. My dad is 82 and he's been through SO much. Please pray that he'll be OK, not so much for my sake as for my mom. Thanks.
