CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My brother just text me saying a two friends of ours got into a really bad car accident. I'm really worried. He has no word yet, but he is rushing over to see them. Please pray that they are okay.

Please pray for me. I was in a relationship with a girl (on and off) for one year. She recently (last week) just broke it off in the midst of a phone conversation. I really don't know what I did gravely wrong to trigger this, but I know I was a little impatient with her for commitment. Please pray that God softens her heart. She basically told me in these words via text message, "I don't want anything to do with you." It hurts a LOT, and I can't talk talk to her because she told me not to contact her. I believe she is acting out of emotion, and I really am sorry for anything I've done to get her to this point. Please pray for reconciliation between us. Please pray, PLEASE.

Please pray for my family. Right now, it is a hard time financially and to make matters worse my Dad is being blamed for a car accident that was not his fault (long, complicated story). His insurance doesn't cover it so he is expected to pay £350. It makes me mad because the crash was not his fault at all and CCTV proves that. Anyway, pray that my Dad will not be ripped off and exploited. Frankly, I am so angry that my blood is boiling.

My godfather is going on a spiritual retreat in about a week. Then he's going to Florida to comfort a member of his parish who just lost their 18 year old son. Then, around Thanksgiving, he's taking his final vows as a Jesuit.
Please pray for him and that family.
