Thanks to all who prayed, and amazingly, by God's grace, she called me today!!! It wasn't a long conversation, and she conveyed her thoughts that she is only interested in friendship with me, but I'm ok with that. I was SOOOO relieved that the silence was broken. An amazing peace came over me when that happened. Thanks to all, and I believe it was because of prayer that she called, no other reason. The reconciliation has begun...

My godfather is going on a spiritual retreat in about a week. Then he's going to Florida to comfort a member of his parish who just lost their 18 year old son. Then, around Thanksgiving, he's taking his final vows as a Jesuit.

Please pray for him and that family.

Here's the gist (minus all the medical stuff because I don't get all that )

He's in ICU, it's still touch and go apparently..but he was able to talk a little bit and was joking (which is like my grandpa, so that's good)..but his whole left side is apparently affected as of now

so yeah...

My grandfather went through a seemingly identical situation last November. He's recovered quite well since then, thank God.

Praying for a blessed outcome for your grandpa as well.

hi, I haven't been on the message board much lately because I have been very busy and distracted.

My job situation changed. I was offered a float position in a different building apart from the teachers I was having difficulty with. Then that same week I was offered teacher position in the new building. I accepted it and have had mixed feelings about it. It has taken away some of the negativity, but has also brought on other bad things. My children and I have had a hard time adjusting to the new hours also.

During all this, I have been told that there is a very real possibility that I have uterine cancer. I'm currently waiting on some lab results. Depending on what those results reveal, I could be seeking a gynocologist who can do further diagnosis. The thing that concerns me the most in all of this is that I'm a single mother with no family that I can turn to for my children. All we have as far as family is my ex and his family, which is a fragile situation at the best moments.

I have no insurance and I only make minimum wage at the daycare. I'm being treated at a clinic that is a Christian outreach ministry. If the results of the lab work are bad, then they are going to be trying to find a gynocologist who will help me at a reduced price.

My friend that I've asked for prayer for before is still struggling. Depression is getting the better of him. He is so close to having sucess, but it is as if it is staying just out of reach for him. He often feels overwhelmed and uncertain of what to do.

On the up side...I have a book that I'm working on completing. I'm going to attempt to self publish, hopefully in the next month or two.

Any prayers on these matters would be greatly appreciated.

The lab results came in sooner than I realized they would. The dr. called me while I was at work to let me know. They do want to do this screening again in 6 months just to double check because there were serious concerns. But as of now, it all looks good.

God has been providing well for my friend who's struggling in his career. However, there are still unmet needs. Please pray that he will be able to emotionally and spiritually hold up. Also pray that God will work His will in all of this.
