  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What if evolution was proven false?

The whole concept of evolution does not make sense. I do not believe it and neither does anyone I know. You would have to be a moron to believe in that stuff.

Well I don't believe in macro-evolution (you know, evolving from nothing or a singularity) and I believe in spontaneous creation, but I don't think it's fair to say that people who believe it or consider it a possibility are morons.

People said the same about Einstein, and I believe Galileo was threatened to be hanged.

Even if evolution is wrong, innovation and discovery cannot come from idle minds. :)

Can't find, if you don't search.

My apologies if you've already explained your position on this badfish, but what do you mean by "macroevolution"?

It sounds as though you are talking biology on one hand, and cosmology on the other.

Just curious...

I'm not sure, I'm Christian and believe that God created us just the way we are.

IOW, I don't believe that we just appeared one day, or evolved from a singularity. I know evolution doesn't really address first causes and such, so it's just a blanket statement.

However I don't ignore sciences, I am learning.

So, if I may paraphrase, your "beef" is with a naturalistic origin of the universe. All the big-bang, creation ex nihlo, type stuff, right?

Are you "OK" with the biological theory of evolution, recognizing that it does not exclude a creator?

Actually when God created the cosmos it could have been a big bang, so basically I really don't know.

I am ok with the theory, the atheist version does exclude a creator I believe, agnostic would probably include the possibility of a creator..

What if humanity was brought forth like the Big Bang only accelerated and not through evolution of species? Like every species was made after its own kind?

I probably already brought that up, so nevermind. :)

"agnostic would probably include the possibility of a creator"

Then its good for christian scientists, that science is Agnostic. :)

"What if humanity was brought forth like the Big Bang only accelerated and not through evolution of species? Like every species was made after its own kind?"

There would be evidence.
However, there is no evidence for it, but lots against.

These verses prove the validity of the cosmology of the bible.
Oh, and being legalistic about this will not work. Look up round in the dictionary!
The word Sphere i don't think was even invented.
The bible was written in layman terms, not scientific terms.
The bible has the oldest, most reliable cosmology!!
Whenever the bible touches on science, it is totally accurate!
The bible has always been ahead of the times.
Evolution has nothing to do with science.
The evolution topic should be in the politics sections of this forum.
Politics is all it ever really was.

I have Darwins confessions that state clearly that his unformed ideas took like wildfire.People made a religion out of them.

Like Jesus is to christianity, Darwin is to Evolution.
Darwin has been checkmated!!
Darwin even acknowledges the existence of God.
So why then, are we still debating this finnished debate?

"Isaiah 40:22"

Isa 40:22** [It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof [are] as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Whats a circle?
For a bit more info that I wrote about this, see,

"Job 26:7
Job 26:10"

Maybe you can explain these more.

"These verses prove the validity of the cosmology of the bible."

They dont seem to to me.

"The bible was written in layman terms, not scientific terms."

Exactly, which is why you probably shouldn't try to use it as a science book.

"Whenever the bible touches on science, it is totally accurate!"

Really? Im sure those who used the bible to support the inaccurate Geocentric Theory would disagree. :)

"Evolution has nothing to do with science."

Maybe back this up? Explain this more.

"I have Darwins confessions that state clearly that his unformed ideas took like wildfire.People made a religion out of them."

Where?

"Darwin even acknowledges the existence of God."

Yep.
But then again, since Evolution Does Not equal atheism It is possible to accept Evolution and God.
